@DhanishthaGhosh I don't think JamesK is likely to see your message. If a user has never been in this room, you can't ping them.
When there is good information worth preserving, JamesK always puts what others have said in the comments in a community wiki answer in order to preserve useful stuff for the OP
If you look at his community wiki answers they all contain contributions by other users
JamesK is trying to provide helpful information but he doesn't want to take credit for others' contribution

Just to add a bit to Eddie's response, 'comments' are not 'answers'. If someone writes an answer in the comment box, you can post it as an answer without making it a community wiki.
Comment box are not for giving answers or writing "+1" or 'thanks" etc.

@EddieKal Oh, I didn't know this. I thought the notification pops up for everyone who is being pinged here, or the main site or the meta site.
@EddieKal Oh, I see. Can any person create a Community wiki, or is there rep limitations for the same?
@Void Oh, I never actually do that. I got into a misapprehension because of this once with Michael, and hence I never write someone else's comment as my answer, with or without making it a community wiki. I feel like they would get all defensive if I tried that.
@Void I have seen a lot many posts (questions as well as answers) having +1 comments explaining why they did that and if they have some extra info. Appreciation comments are way too common. Even I did that myself just yesterday on your answer to my question. However, I feel like when there is just one 'thank you' message from the OP themselves, it is most of the time retained.

Hello everyone. I had a question in my mind. When people say, that British people or American people do not use it as much as they used to, where do they get the analysis from? Or is it just a thing of saying that this is old-fashioned or archaic? I mean one person hasn't talked to everyone. This post (Kate's and chasly's comments) triggered this doubt in my mind. No offense meant whatsoever.

@DhanishthaGhosh Some of those claims can be backed up with Google Ngrams
Do an Ngram search and we can see the trend of a particular usage over time
