@M.A.R. I need Tin can phones as well! I have a snippet of a song stuck in my head. Problem is its doubtful it is a whole song. Or even a commerically available one.
Digging through internet from 20-25 years ago... it's not that fun. It's mostly broken.
ELL has a literature tag with currently 88 questions, but some meaning questions in the context of literature get closed or, if a Literature SE user finds them in time, get flagged for migration to Lit SE.
Does ELL have clear rules for which questions about meaning in literary texts are OK and which are not? Background: Do we want a migration path from ELU? on Literature SE meta.
@M.A.R. I vaguely remember that this was discussed at some point. I currently can't find the relevant Meta SE question, let alone a plan to get rid of migrations.
@CowperKettle First gut laugh of the day! Thank you sir.
@Tsundoku I tried googling the picture and even an episode this picture might of came from. I think it's a faked picture created by the game developer.
@Tsundoku I'd be for such a path to Lit on ELL as well. I don't think I personally have a clear enough view of the distinction between ELL and Literature meaning questions to initiate a discussion on Meta ELL but if you are up for it I think it'd be great.
@Tsundoku Also I'd like to add that I consider some Lit meaning questions more on-topic on ELL. Ofc you guys have already set your boundaries and those questions are within bounds on Lit, which is fine by me. But interestingly some of them have been answered by ELL regulars who also have a presence on Lit.
This sounds like a purely ELL matter, as native speakers have no need of calling a verb "stative". I shall perforce migrate it thither. — tchrist32 mins ago
