For a second, I thought "Why not 'longest-lived', but I don't think that's valid. I think it would have to be 'long-lived'.
Maybe it would have to be "most long-lived"
I'm not sure why I don't like "longest living" when applied to an entire species - I think it only really applies to an individual.
