This seems wrong to me: . . . he seemed determined that everyone should enjoy themselves as much as, if not more, than they would have done at Hogwarts . . .
It should say "... everyone should enjoy themselves as much as, if not more than, they would have done at Hogwarts ..."

If it is incorrect, someone with authority needs to edit the answer.

@AIQ Perhaps you could leave a comment on the answer suggesting that you find the example better with the comma moved, and ask if they agree and want to move the comma in their answer.

@snailcar Thanks for taking a look at it. I mentioned this in ELU chat (it's an answer to an ELU question). Two people agreed with me. Maybe a mod there might do it ...

@AIQ Yeah, I found it online when I searched for the phrase. I could edit it, but I'd prefer not to.

@M.A.R. Um what? You are responding to something?
My mistake. Coffee hasn't taken effect. Sorry if my link bothered you. Those emojis express sore feelings?
@snailcar Am I wrong in suggesting people shouldn't be force-learning new words unless they're a complete beginner (for which I'll set an arbitrary word-constituent-family threshold at 1000 or less), in which case you'll most likely need to learn this word anyway because you can't express yourself, or you've frequently encountered some word, so you obviously need to know its meaning (if you don't already), or you're some kinda word-fiend?
14:22
Or, well, you need to learn words for some silly exam.
@M.A.R. Okay my mistake thinking URLS weren't shortened in chat. That archive.org link is actually quite long. And I have since learned that links shouldn't be masked or hidden unless there is a good reason for it. Who reads links if they can just click on them.
Where's this question @AIQ. I'll edit that answer if I am allowed.
Yeah, there's no need to shorten your links here, it just looks a little suss.
suss?
Suspicious.
Th'so. thx

:)
I hope to never have to answer a question with a link I have to name from archive.org!
14:36
I mean deliberate shortening of URLs looks suss, but not automatic, because you can just hover over it or long press on it (in Chrome you have to long press on what pops out again) and see what it is.
True.
Trying to formulate a good question for Electronics SE. And it's tricky when you dont know electronics (computers) enough, but you want to explain you know enought to tinker..
Just try to be specific and include all the relevant variables (like which electronic components you used etc.).
Can I include a link to a product that is for sale online, if its relevant to my query?
an amazon link
Why not? If it helps clarify your question...
It'd be best to include all the relevant aspects from that website in your post, however. Like maybe take a look at the specs section or something.
Okay, worst that can happen is a get soe over zealous mod, slicing my question into bitts..
14:43
Into ones and zeros, huh?
"This post's goin' binary."
hehe
More like someone telling me not to electrocute myself and leave it for an expert or downvote it into a blackhole
The term there is "grounding"; they downvote the post so much it gets zero potential of being answered.

@userr2684291 To some people, you're wrong for suggesting.
@GWarner Well, I guess it could lead to some misunderstanding if you just pop in a new chat and post shortened URLs. Not here.
Not just because people suddenly raise an internal spam alarm, but also because you can usually see if you need to click on a link before doing it and shortened URLs are kinda a deadend in that aspect
@GWarner I was just being me. Damkerng was a chat regular and a really nice guy until he suddenly disappeared
When you chat with someone for two years, I guess their disappearance is as bad as a loss of a friend
16:27
@M.A.R. Ahh,
@M.A.R. It got two stars... go figure. I think I'll use it for personal use. Link shoertening is kinda obsolete now anyway. NTYMI
and shoertening is not a typo :) (some people might spell it that way... like Schoen is pronounced Shawn... Stay at home has be going nuts! ._.

@userr2684291 Well, people can do what they like, but I think that just memorizing a word from a list doesn't really count as "learning" the word on its own. You still have to go through the process of seeing how it's used and getting a sense for it.
