@CowperKettle It's a more generally used phrase these days, meaning "mark your calendar", "reserve this future date (range . . . because . . . ).
O.0 Awesome. How amazing. I've heard from Damkerng. He is unwell, for reasons that he did not give. "Hey, I hate talking about myself. How are you and everyone doing?
I hope everyone is doing well.
If anyone asks about me, please tell them I've had to just be away for a while, and very much miss them.

Love,
Damkerng"

@JimReynolds That is some news from him.
By some you mean, significant or striking?
I just mean some as opposed to nothing, because we haven't heard from him for so long. =)
Yes. I was very surprised. I have his email address and had tried to contact him in several ways since he disappeared. I really don't know what made me write to him again recently, but he answered!!
I have sent emails to some SE friend for over a year, but no reply, so I gave up.
I was even thinking whether I said something wrong, but then he should at least have clarified with me instead of vanish if he misinterpreted what I said.

Bonds online can be fragile, even though you may come to know and even love online friends.
So I am not going to worry about that part.
Bonds offline can be fragile too.
Many of my offline friends have abandoned me.
Right. It sounds like you already did the normal thing to do.
I know people often say online and in real life, but I prefer saying online and offline.
Let me explain why. =)
I'm sorry to hear that.
Because online is as real to me as in real life. And also online and offline sounds shorter and nicer. =)

that makes sense
ok. I actually came on here because I am trying to avoid some work that I need to do.

Unfortunately, . . . I really need to do it. :D
OK, you can go back to work now. =)
Take it easy. :)
both on and offline. :D
Yeah. =)
I wonder if snailboat is on a really long vacation, trying to go around the world in 80 days.

Q: Difference bw 'has been my favorite' & 'has easily been my favorite'

ArvindrajaI am confused about use of Has Been specially in this sentences. If I say I has been my favorite. Means something since long time is my favorite & still. But if I say I has easily been my favorite. than the meaning both sentence is changing or not? I am thinking second sentence mea...

@JimReynolds Wow. That's great news.
Well, I mean, that he's still there.
Somewhere.
Geesh. Still kinda surprised, lol.
(:
@WillHunting Yeah, that's probably what they're up to.

@JimReynolds Have you been in contact since then? I wonder why he has not even once revisited this room.
Or "why hasn't he"?

I was watching a youtube video and someone mentioned something that sounds like bead or bean that refers to some illegal drug. Any idea what it could be?

@CowperKettle This reminds me of a book written by Coxeter and Gretizer called Geometry Revisited.
@userr2684291 I think it is not a secret that they is a she. =) I am surprised you used they.

@JasperLoy It feels less direct in situations like that... but it depends: I used he for Damkerng because Jim Reynolds used it previously so it felt okay to use it there, and if I'd opted for they, it would've been more conspicuous.
@userr2684291 I was thinking what would happen if we changed the gender neutral singular pronoun from they to it. =)

I can hear the wind blowing on my closed windows. It is quite scary. But there is no hurricane here.
