@StackExchange It's interesting to see that native speakers can mishear things when they're primed.

@DamkerngT. false, probably
Robert Leckie (December 18, 1920 – December 24, 2001) was an American author of books on United States military history, fiction, autobiography and children's books. As a young man, he served in the Marine Corps with the 1st Marine Division during World War II. His service as a machine gunner and a scout in the war greatly influenced his work. == Early life and career == Leckie was born on December 18, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to a family of eight children. He grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey. He began his career as a writer in high school, as a sports writer for The Bergen Evening...
> in 1951 he was inspired to write a memoir after seeing South Pacific on Broadway and walking out halfway through. He said "I have to tell the story of how it really was. I have to let people know the war wasn't a musical."[4] His first and best-selling book, Helmet for My Pillow, a war memoir, was published in 1957.
Thank you for making me learn about this author, @DamkerngT.

Q: What does AFK mean?

OreoI have heard my friend talk about being AFK on a Minecraft server, but I have not heard it being used in single player so I assume it refers to online gaming but i don't know what it means and what it stands for.

@yubrajsharma You need to understand that a gerund is a noun. Just like any noun, it takes a determiner: an article, a number, a quantifier, a possessive, etc. There's nothing remarkable about The goat's screaming," "My eating," "That rumbling," or "Your having to."P. E. Dant yesterday

@DamkerngT. Hi....
@ColleenV Hehe!
@yubrajsharma Hi!
@ColleenV Thanks for fixing my typo!
I'm having to repair my mobile!
It keeps on hanging!
Hope it will work again soon, as good as new!
12:51
Umm ...It isn't true that my mobile is hanged, I have just used having to in a sentence
Was it correct?
Well, it sounded like you were repairing your mobile when you said that.
It is correct that My mobile is hanged but not as badly as to repair it !
Are you busy?
13:21
@yubrajsharma Sorry, a little bit.
I'm multitasking.
@yubrajsharma I think you meant "my mobile keeps hanging" or just "my mobile hangs" or better yet "my mobile doesn't work" (or "didn't work").
"My mobile didn't work, but it wasn't broken yet."
13:42
And what about Having To

@yubrajsharma I already mentioned that. You must've missed my comment.

Is it true that zzzz sound denotes "sleep "?
@V.V. Not sound, but the word.
Englishers don't sound like bees when they're sleeping. :)
19:26
I didn't understand, can you explain?
Anonymous
19:49
@V.V. People write zzzz to indicate sleep:

Q: How did the letter Z come to be associated with sleeping/snoring?

Scott MitchellIn cartoons and comics it's not uncommon to see a series of Z's to indicate that a person is in deep slumber, such as in the following political cartoon. How and when did the letter Z come to be associated with sleeping?

People don't say it quite as often, I think.
Anonymous
But originally, I think it was supposed to represent the sound of snoring.

@DamkerngT. I would have been so kind, but Colleen got to the being kind before I had a chance to :-)
