
Mikhail Semyonovich Tsvet (Михаи́л Семёнович Цветь, also spelled Tsvett, Tswett, Tswet, Zwet, and Cvet) (Asti, 1872 – Voronezh, 1919) was a Russian-Italian botanist who invented adsorption chromatography. His last name is Russian for both "colour" and "flowering."
