Question: Say there is this question where a reputed user (+40K rep) has given an answer. And then there is a close vote on the question. What should be done? Leave open? Surely, if the advanced user took the time to write an answer, they did not think the question was bad enough to be closed. Right? @AIQ You're a user just as much as they are. You can use your own judgment in deciding how to review something. If you think it should be closed, you can vote to close no matter who posted an answer. You can also take any other action you think is appropriate, like starting a meta discussion or leaving a comment suggesting an improvement.

I am not sure if an answer to one of my question is correct. Can anyone here comment on it: "Among the most significant challenges can be found Canada’s Employment Insurance Program" and "The most significant challenges can be found in Canada’s Employment Insurance Program" are both grammatically correct."

Answerer said the bold version is grammatical.

@AIQ I don't know about ungrammatical, but the bold sentence is extremely awkward. "Some of the most significant challenges can be found..." is probably how I would write it

If you want to use "among" it would be more like "challenge X is among the most significant challenges..."

Subject–dependent inversion is licensed by context. There are certain contexts where you can use it, and outside those contexts it sounds wrong.

But even trying to imagine a context for it, it seems grammatically, erm, atypical for subject–dependent inversion.

@ColleenV and @snailcar The bold part seemed awkward to me too. I did add a comment asking the answerer to take a look at it in case they left something out. Oh, just so you know, that bold part is in the answer given by someone.

Q: Software to check pronunciation automatically?

As a non-native English learner, I wonder if there is some software that can check the pronunciation automatically: a user speaks into it, and the program reports some type of assessment, like “you sound 70 percent native”. I don’t mean exactly this behavior, I’m just looking for any working too...
