What is that yellow circle?
Wgat is this food product called in English?
کشک
It's made by boiling buttermilk. We call it Kashk in persian.
I think @Færd can help you
:D
18:05
@Cardinal Do you like it? It's delicious.
Not really, I didn't try it directly!
Especially in Kashke Bademjan.
I only tried it in the "آش"
LOL
@Cardinal it's delicious in Ash too.
We can search about milk driven food
18:10
I am searching.
What is "آش" called in English?
:D
Āsh.
Thanks to my mother tongue. I found this.
Oh, that is something different, "gharaghrout" :D
We call it qrut قوروت
I guess there is no word for it in English. So we can use kashk.
Let's ask @snailplane.
So "کشک" is called "قوروت" in Azeris?
18:20
Yes, it is.
So we have two Azeris speakers here
Hello everyone

Q: a day of, or the day of?

whitedevilI wrote this thing; "I woke up as any other usual day, but my spirit was high. After a long period of non-stop, vigorous working, I finally could relax, as it was a/the day of rest." I strongly feel that "the" can be used in that sentence, as it is a reason, a very definite reason that ...

I am seeking for the answer.
18:25
I am seeking for the pillow..
Nighty night, Avi!
A pillow or the pillow
@Cardinal Yay.:D
The, in that case.
Nighty night @CowperKettle
I think a is more strong !
18:26
:-)
I hate articles.
Could you help me @Araucaria?
@DEAD I think we have this resposibility to intruduce telegram to our friends. What do you think? Ell Group, you would be the admin, that would be great. However, our true identities will be disclosed
LooooL
@whitedevil I like "a day of test" more. "the day of rest" gives me a feeling like it has been a special day of rest not like all other days one has no work to do and is free to rest.
I thought it is definite, for it is "the day that finally allows me to relax".
It is implied, I think.
@Avicenna
Because we have many day to rest, I think it's more proper to use "a". To imply it's one of thoes days.
I mean a day like all other days of rest.
But let me read your sentence again.
"I woke up as any other usual days, but my spirit was high. After a long period of non-stop, vigorous working, I finally could relax, as it was a/the day of rest."
@whitedevil I would say "as it was my day of rest" if I want to be specific.
Grammatically there is nothing wrong with using "the" here. It's just a stylistic preference, IMO.
18:43
user3169 was insisting that it should be "a".
So I was wondering.
I think @user3169 is a native speaker.
I think so, too.
@whitedevil Wait for others they may give a better explenation.
Here it's almost mid night. So good night.
18:49
NIght!
19:06
@Cardinal Wut
I meant the application Telegram
:D
Again, Wut
Nothing Serious, I was joking
Let it go
19:25
Just watched a rerun of The Dark Knight. Lots of powerful lines in there.
> Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.
I wonder how many times Nolan read Nietzsche's.
@Avicenna it was a day of rest makes me sense to me. (I haven't read the comments yet.)
@DamkerngT. What does that line have to do with Niche ?
@Cardinal Probably not directly, but I think the script as a whole seems to be influenced by Nietzsche's works.
I admit that Joker reflects some niche's statements
"Whatever doesn't kill you, simply makes you stranger"
That one is almost like a cliche!
Niche: ""What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.""
19:34
It's the theme about Good and Evil that is all over the movie.
@DamkerngT. Somehow, but it did exists in other series of Batman
@Cardinal nods
I think it's in the whole trilogy.
However, Joker is awesome
It is exceptional
Indeed! Both the character by the script, and the actor.
Joker has a complicated character.
Among those connections with Niche stuff
This one is very conspicuous to me:
Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.
-- Friedrich Nietzsche
19:40
@DamkerngT. That is, without exaggeration, the best movie of the 21st century.
I remember that Joker said something similar
He was advising Batman
@Cardinal Probably the same sentiment in this line, too: You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
What makes it even coolly sadder, is how Ledger died before the movie was in cinemas.
@DEAD I was trying to avoid mentioning that. It was quite sad.
Such coolness.
19:42
@DEAD He played magnificently
My view might be biased, since The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all-time.
Nolan also did a pretty decent job ending the trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises.
@DEAD However, my favorite movie is "interstellar" :p
I'm not sure about my list but that's because I haven't really listed them. In any case, this one is surely in the top ten if I make such a list.
@Cardinal Again Nolan's work. We at least agree on the director part.
I only like Dark Night
19:45
This guy makes movies I don't regret wasting time watching.
@Cardinal Why not his rise/
Yes, Sho sheng Redemption is great, too
Do you not like how excellently he managed to end the trilogy with *The Dark Knight Rises*/
?
@DEAD Since it lacks many things that DarkNight has.
That still doesn't mean it's a bad movie.
Not as cool as the previous movie, but it was an excellent ending.
I have very special outlook on life and movies !
I've never seen GOT
19:48
@Cardinal And punctuation marks
@Cardinal Neither have I
But, I am a big fan of POI.
Power Of Inception?
@DEAD I'm sure you like that last tea scene!
Person of Interest written by J. Nolan, directed by JJ Abrams
@DamkerngT. When I compare it to Superman movies, I can't believe the same company owns the two characters.
19:49
LOL
That was the only movie scene in my life that I really, really felt happy when the hero appeared to be still alive.
Oh! @V.V. and @Catija are here. Hello!
Hey Cat and V.V.
And congratulations especially to @Catija!
Hey. :D
19:52
\o/
I am still currently two people in one.
Ah, I see!
@DamkerngT. Why ?
@Cardinal There's a big hint in the most recent message by Catija. (^_^)
AWo Awo
Nice
Good for you @Catija
I used to read Niche many long times ago. It is not very pleasant to recall those days, but they are a part of me. If you don't get Niche's intents the result would be devastating !
If you like to know more about him, I suggest that you read this book:

Hi.
HI V.V. o/
Answered one question and waiting for slippers to fly in my direction.
It's almost midnight.
@V.V. Aww...
It's way past midnight over here. :-)
See you tomorrow, I am an early bird.
See you tomorrow! :D

> American scientists pose for Life magazine on October 10, 1957, alongside satellite orbit equations drawn up by astronomer Samuel Herrick. The photo was taken just six days after the Soviet Union had launched Sputnik 1- the world’s first human-made satellite and a win in the earliest round of the space race. NASA was created the following October, and within months, the United States was also in orbit: On January 31, 1958, NASA launched the Explorer 1 satellite from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
