We should have a contest for who can fly the farthest south from the noteblock tower. It's south edge is at z=534 and I just flew to z=2267!
(though maybe north is better since it's closer to spawn)

If we really, really, really wanted to, maybe we could even dig down into the soil and rock at an angle, all the way to bedrock. Could probably travel an extra 500 blocks or something. :P

After trading like 88 coal for 4 emeralds the villager with stop with that trade.

Perhaps the fact that there are hundreds of villagers is why it's easy to repeat trades...
(Well, maybe not hundreds, but there's a lot.)

@HelkaHomba They'll reset first time you make a particular trade with them, after that they reset with 20% probability.

@El'endiaStarman If it helps, so far I've never had trouble finding villagers to trade with (for emeralds or enchants)
And we can cull the unhelpful ones if necessary >:)
