In the screenshot here I see notification about a question: Per-site Meta post didn't populate Moderator Inbox
I looked at some other screenshots of mod inbox, but I only saw questions.
Ok, now I found this: When do moderators get notifications about meta posts? From the answer:
> Edits, answers, votes, comments and other such touching will not trigger a notification in the inbox.

Yep, just questions.
Re: tagging and tags. I've just changed the one question which uses "tagging" to use "tags", let's see if the system cleans up "tagging" completely or if its somehow special cased.

@PhilipKendall AFAIK the default tags are not removed even if they have zero questions.

OK, I've just done my first ever tag merge so "tagging" and "tags" are now the same thing.
