@Razetime so does that mean if I: a) draw a circle, b) dot the eyes, c) add a great big smile and d) additional drawing frickery, Bubbler will appear in my house?
@MonicaCellio Yeah, deciding between abandoning the community because of SE and sticking to the community in spite of SE was definitely not the easiest choice :) I'm happy you understand though.
TBH, one of the more appealing things you've mentioned (both in replies to me and things I saw from logreading since I left) is the customizability and the willingness for Codidact to work around its sites - I've definitely felt neglected far more than once or twice as one of the "oddball" sites, and it feels like the direction is solely towards SO/Teams (i.e. profit) and we're just part of the footnote of "oh this network is a thing too".
I actually very like you and Redwolf's proposal to have SE reputation as a side-note on Codidact, and possibly the ability to migrate some relevant privileges under certain conditions - it's a very appealing middle-ground between starting over fresh and getting everything for free without working for it or participating on Codidact itself.
Anyway, I'll try to remember to participate on Codidact more, since I am interested in the direction it's taking :) It's not part of the set of tabs I routinely open when bored or have some free time like SE and YouTube are, but I have time and I'd definitely be willing to give Codidact some more attention than just answering questions when rak1507 advertises them here :P
Is there a way to make a certain category of new Codidact posts (e.g. new Challenges) feed into this room? There's few enough it probably wouldn't be disruptive, and if y'all want to be pushed to remember to participate it might help.
(despite probably no one being curious: yes, I do say "y'all" in real life, and no, I do not live in the area commonly referred to as the American South/Southern States)
