They haven't rate limited me yet though

@quartata Hahaha. Maybe you oughta just scrape the transcript once and store the results.
Honestly I've thought of that many times
But even when I'm rewriting things anyways I can't muster up the effort to bother
So instead I just run it, forget it's there and then accidentally shut down my computer when it's almost done processing the messages
@quartata Maybe have some way to restart from a certain date?
Probably a good idea

@LegionMammal978 It's not nearly that high of a percentage, but there are probably good historical reasons.
Not counting everyone I know insisting that football is actually soccer. I agree, but it makes discussions like this weirder.
It also seems to me to be a pretty macho sport, and that's a big part of the stereotypical American culture.

@ETHproductions Are you taking ear plugs with you? :P
22:11
Wait, it's not a sarcasm
The fact that the international is played in Seattle probably has something to do with it.
Though the NA Dota scene is shit.
The Superbowl lasts a few hours. Dota's TI lays the whole week, from six in the morning to eight in the evening. It's great.
@Pavel Isn't the whole season more comparable?
no. There's a build up to TI
like, there are quarterly competetions, as well as other competitions that feed into TI
but the actual final "game" actually consists of a best-of-5 tournament between the top 2 teams
which takes all day
TI in Seattle lasts a week. Qualifiers begin a month before that, but there are majors every season which determine who gets into TI.
You can attend in person at Seattle for the whole week with just one ticket (technically two), and the entire thing is viewable from the dota client, where you have access to the announces but can still manipulate the camera, view hero information, etc.
22:29
What's 'TI'?
@Pavel most likely
"The International"

@LuisMendo haha, thanks. Actually, I ran into some weird issues trying to write that.
UTC+02:00 is an identifier for a time offset from UTC of +02. In ISO 8601 the associated time would be written as 2016-12-31T23:03:30+02:00. This time is used in: == As standard time (all year round) == === Europe === Russia - Kaliningrad Oblast === North Africa / Western Asia === Egypt Libya === Central and Southern Africa === Botswana Burundi Democratic Republic of the Congo (eastern half) Kasai, Kasai-Central, Kasai-Oriental, Sankuru, Lomami, Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Tanganyika, Haut-Lomami, Maniema, Nord-Kivu, Ituri, Haut-Uele, Bas-Uele, Tshopo, Sud-Kivu Lesotho Malawi ...
