I have the VA for that, I get a stipend
And I'll start doing my old WFH job again once I need to start paying for flight school too
CMU bases their "units" on actual hours spent, including homework
So 70 units is supposed to be, very very roughly, 70 hours per week
Which is only like 10h a day
Assuming I can't task-overlap
Do not do 70 hours a week, You will be burned out by week 1.
(Suggestion, take with grain of salt)

At best you're giving yourself a pretty small margin for error/extenuating circumstances
Don't overload yourself in the first few years, as those are when the novelty of uni/college hasn't worn off yet. Actually make sure you enjoy your time while it's still not tedious :p
In all fairness, overloading does sound like his idea of enjoying it :P
It's just that that's going to be a lot less fun if it crashes and burns
yeah it's a big risk on sustaining the lock-in
And sometimes, you don't even know how big a course actually is until mid way through
I've had around 3 courses where on the surface it looked fine, but at the end, it was, not, fine
23:26
And the first week or two are ALWAYS going to be easier than the rest of the class, between introductory material and just not wanting to scare people off before drop deadlines
Oh yeah ofc
Census date is when things really ramp up
You never know what weird thing is going to give you a way harder time than anyone could have anticipated
And it's funny: at the start of semester, you see a truck load of people on campus, you can't get any parks, and everyone is going to give things a red hot go. Come midterms/finals, well, let's say parking is a lot easier
...Also come to think of it you're like the only person I've ever met who I'd expect to actually have other things to do with spare time on campus
So maybe try to have some of that spare time :P
Yeah, making sure you have spare time to destress is very important
23:39
Not just destress, actively enrich yourself
Like everyone needs time to destress but some people do some uhhh
Whatever the fuck normal people do
That they seem to enjoy
And I get the impression that some of that is like maybe up your alley
Like don't you actually talk to people sometimes
College is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all kinds of things that aren't just classes so you can overload on some of those other things too :P
