I thought of an interesting concept for a programming language not too long ago...there would be no functions, only object definitions. You could put any code in them, and you'd call the function similarly to how you get a value with a string key: function_object[arg_1, arg_2]
It wouldn't be super useful if the object was immediately populated with properties, because the function would get called when you defined it. Instead, it could be "schrodinger's object": the properties only exist once you read/call the object for the first time, thus fixing the issue
The syntax could look something like this (there would be no = for variables because all variables would be object properties):
game.init:

player.region: "start"
player.items: []

regions.init

Sounds like Io, doesn't it?
But Io has functions.

Q: Substandard deviation

Robin RyderThe mean of a population \$(x_1,\dots,x_n)\$ is defined as \$\bar x=\frac1n\sum_{i=1}^n x_i\$. The (uncorrected) standard deviation of the population is defined as \$\sqrt{\frac1n\sum (x_i-\bar x)^2}\$. It measures how dispersed the population is: a large standard deviation indicates that the val...

@ATaco So, do you want to request BigInts in your language?

this one's more of a time complexity problem than a bigint problem anyway

Most languages I'd use support BigInt, but many implementations of BigInt leave a lot to be desired.
