Q: I am surely the fastest!... asymptotically

TreborBackground You are probably familiar with the "asymptotic time complexity" concept, which provides a way to measure how fast an algorithm runs as the input gets larger. For instance, if an algorithm needs \$2n+3\$ steps to compute the answer for input of (binary) length \$n\$, we say it is of com...

WHY does C# allow one to define a class called var

it even allows you to define variables named as keywords using the @name syntax. Sounds useful.

(Also allows overriding of the class dynamic)
I'm sure SOMEONE has a reason to overwrite things like Object
But part of me wishes i couldn't.

Q: Implement Entombed's lookup table

sporeballBackground Entombed is an Atari 2600 game released in 1982, with the goal of navigating through a continuous mirrored maze as it scrolls upwards. In recent times, the game has been subject to research — despite the strict hardware limitations of the Atari 2600, it somehow manages to create solvab...

Hi everyone, I wonder if you guys ever had to multiply numbers involving more than 96 digits? It's related to a Hot Network Question that just came up recently:

Q: Did the 2019 discovery of O(N log(N)) multiplication have a practical outcome?

ksousaSome time ago I've read this news article, Mathematicians Discover the Perfect Way to Multiply, reporting a discovery published in 2019, where Harvey and Hoeven[1] found a algorithm able to execute multiplication in $N \log N$ steps. Compare with the $N^2$ we are used to while doing multiplicati...

Q: Metagolf the OEIS

fireflame241We've had Meta Regex Golf and Display OEIS Sequences. Now, it is time for Meta OEIS Golf. Challenge Given a sequence of integers, your program/function should output a program/function in the same language that then outputs the same sequence. A simple example in Python would be def f(sequence): ...
