Q: Win the challenge for me

2EZ 4RTZWelcome to Win the Challenge KotH. You need to win, (duh) or your code loses a byte in the order you specify. Errors are ignored unless they cause the program to not finish or crash. This is my setup: from multiprocessing import Process programAScore = <yourBytes> #These are NUMBERS programBS...

how do i get a dev job
im 17
free lance?

@Tobi At 17? You probably want to get an internship.

12:15 AM
I did that last year
it was amazing

I don't think many places will hire someone for a dev position without a college education.

i was working with much older people from cambridge/oxford (exclusively) (1st/2nd year i think)
i have no idea how my school got me onto that

You'd probably have the best luck at a startup.

actually I did a lower level internship and they were impressed so they let me come back for the university level internship
@Pavel what about making my own
and raking in monez

Sure
Realistically probably won't go anywhere, but it will be great to put on a resume.

12:18 AM
oh u were serious

Probably not worth the effort
But yeah, some people do that.

@2EZ4RTZ Your new KoTH is very unclear. What is it meant to do even?
Also: I thought of an interesting idea that has probably been done already: Have if (c1) {s1;} unless (c2) {s2;} be syntactical sugar for if (c1) { if (c2) {s2;} else {s1;}}

is anyone here friends with me on project euler

12:51 AM
@HyperNeutrino Make the sugar <statement> unless (cond) <statement>, that way you can do if(c1){s1;}unless(c2){s2;} or you can do s1 unless(c2){s2}

hm interesting idea
I mean I need to get an actual parser first :P
so far working decently; at least the regex lexer works
I'm trying to make a generalized lexer+parser+interpreter to try to make building languages easier

I want to try to make an actual golfish language based off the lexer I wrote for MaybeLater
And now I'm tempted to call it Goldfish

Imma bout to blow. ` There is a sandbox for proposed challenges, you should post your challenge there before on main to make sure it is clear.` only had it sanboxed for one day under a month
kmn

Protip, when you delete your question from the sandbox, keep it the same name, and link to the question.

12:55 AM
@HyperNeutrino are you planning on coding the next oeis sequence?

I mean rly. I had it sandboxed since ais was here.

forget about the vote distribution, what's with the view distribution

Makes it hard to tell that it was in the sandbox.

12:57 AM
@ATaco WHAT IS DAT.
I WANT THE GOAT VOTE

userscript

(That's not the point)

What one!
@ATaco (i edited)

the graduation design one...

PPCG one? The laggy one that took ~1min to load?

12:57 AM
:/
not for me

@HusnainRaza If nobody else does it soon, I'll might :P

Also, a downgoat is a pretty good indicator it either still needs work, or probably shouldn't be posted.

@MDXF IMO, you can't really use the sandbox to determine if the challenge is good. It's more for determining what problems it has, and how to make it better.

@2EZ4RTZ Fine for me, PEBCAK error.

It's really good at catching things you hadn't thought of, but it isn't great at letting you know how well it will be received.

12:58 AM
Thankyou Master of Ceremonies.

Well I have had sandboxes go from -1 to +15 :/ and +2 to ~-5.

hm i can attest to that
although my view count is currently low, so maybe i can't

My solution is to not use the sandbox and hope for the best. My solution is terrible.

@ATaco Tried that. More downvotes
