@LeakyNun Where you have keyboard shortcuts to do certain things. E.g. <esc>R runs the code

Would a "polynomial interpolation" challenge be closed as a dupe in favor of either one of these: this or this?
Most likely not for the second one, but I'm a bit unsure about the first one..
The first one is just horrible w/ the error checking & output format :(

great we have 2 pairs of highly similar avatars now :p

@BruceForte I think you can approve upon that... but sandbox it first.

Yeah, I would do anyway but I thought I might as well first ask here, before I start writing up a new one.

@cairdcoinheringaahing bruce/xcoder, timmyd/caruscomputing

@Riker: Sry ;P
Should I change it?

Hehe, I forked Jelly, then deleted all files but the dictionary :P

@cairdcoinheringaahing is there other commands?

@LeakyNun H goes to Home, and S generates the permalink

I've installed the Haskell platform from Fedora repos now, which saves a lot of space. Please let me know if this causes any issues.

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

KSmartsShow a Chess Piece Range Write a program or function that, given a set of movement rules, shows the available moves for a fairy chess piece. Movement Rules: This will use a slightly modified version of Parlett's Movement Notation: A number, 1, 2, etc. shows how far a piece can move in a given...

Looking for feedback, please.

@KSmarts: I think it's pretty clear

I fed back on teh sandbox post.

Small nitpick: Maybe swap the test cases "2+.1+" & "2*"
(because the knight is at the top and not the one directely above)

The infinite version of this problem might be interesting as well (i.e. whether a set of tiles can completely fill the 1D line without overlaps). Then stuff like 101101 would be truthy, even though no finite number of them result in a contiguous block. — Martin Ender ♦ Nov 10 at 9:32
@MartinEnder Did anything ever happen on that front? I was hoping to see that challenge

I have no idea how successfull it would be in the current state, so feel free to share your opinions and suggestions. code-golfmathgeometry Your task is to program a ma...

@WheatWizard Not that I'm aware of, and I'm not currently planning to write it. So I guess, ask Luis whether he wants to write it and if not you can post it yourself.

@LuisMendo Did you want to write it? I'd be happy to write it but I'd be just as happy to compete.

Go on to the DjangoBB web page. Then try to search for something. Then try to report the bug with the button in the error message. :-/

How should we name our lightweight APL JSON webserver? Puns involving apples are preferred.

11:22 PM
@Adám & Oranges?

@Οurous "Apples and oranges"‽ Explain plz.

@Adám It's a saying about poor comparisons. Wikipedia

@Οurous I know, but how is that a good name for a JSON webserver?

name it ARGONAUT?

@Adám Because an APL JSON webserver is not an Apple
And so the saying applies to the webserver's name

11:26 PM
@EricTressler Backronym?

I can't help but think that this would be shorter if directly translated to Haskell, but I don't know enough Haskell to check.

The Argonauts (Ancient Greek: Ἀργοναῦται Argonautai) were a band of heroes in Greek mythology, who in the years before the Trojan War, around 1300 BC, accompanied Jason to Colchis in his quest to find the Golden Fleece. Their name comes from their ship, Argo, named after its builder, Argus. "Argonauts" literally means "Argo sailors". They were sometimes called Minyans, after a prehistoric tribe in the area. == Reason of the quest == After the death of King Cretheus, the Aeolian Pelias usurped the Iolcan throne from his half-brother Aeson and became king of Iolcus in Thessaly (near the modern...

@Οurous I could help, but I don't understand how functions are defined in Clean

@EricTressler Maybe we can backronym Aeson?

@H.PWiz I'll make a Clean room so I can delve into what the answer does without filling up this room, if that sounds ok?

11:34 PM
@Οurous Yeah, I'll join. Link please
