@MarkTrapp If you can, post blog post ideas on Trello so we can vote on them and pick them up. It also helps us identify what the post should be about since sometimes the question is the topic of the article, while other times its the answer(s)
@MarkTrapp Nevermind, you already did :)
I think our current status is nothing has changed. We still have 2 complete posts, and 4 being written. One of the ones being written I was thinking would be a good first article, depending on how well it's written so I was hoping to wait for that one to start publishing.
At our current speed, I think one article a week is unrealistic. Perhaps 1 every 2 weeks, although depending on writer contribution it might only be 1 per month.
@Rachel Is wordpress markup based on markdown syntax? If it is, how can i add tables to the document?

@Ubermensch It uses the PHP Markdown Extra library, so this syntax should work, but I was having difficulties earlier with WP munging valid Markdown syntax earlier today, so your milage may vary
@MarkTrapp Thanks Mark. Would try it. Tables and footnotes are just essential. But most of the blogs (all I have seen so far, 14 in total) don't' have tables or footnotes
@Uber WP allows for pasting in from word.. That's what did, pasted in from word then edited the HTML directly
@Rachel , @ Justin @MarkTrapp
Mark voted for his own Idea on Trello, I then did the same. So we effective made it so only 1 vote is required to get something approved... I have no issue with this but did want to bring it to your attention.
@Morons I did notice that, but thought they were decent questions anyways. In the future I'll only move items that have 2 votes that didn't come from the person who proposed the topic
@MarkTrapp Waiting on a backlog - as Rachel mentioned we have two completed and I'd like for another two to be done before start publishing. Sorry to everyone if I've haven't been around as much as I should have been - work's been pretty heavy this past week.
2 hours later…

@Jarrod @Rachel Okay, good deal: let us know if you need anything.

@Morons @Rachel Since the bar is so low, and there's no way to reject post ideas, the whole pending queue seems pretty silly. There's no functional difference between pending approval post ideas and available post ideas. Voting seems like the best indicator of whether something has support or not.
I do wish Trello had a Yes/No vote system so we could vote down things we think are bad and remove them. I think we should have some kind of system to remove suggestions after a month or so with not enough votes.

@Rachel Think it might be better to have post idea voting on the meta site: it'd give more exposure to the ideas and let people downvote bad ones. Ideas that meet the approval threshold would then be copied into Trello.
@MarkTrapp I'm not a big fan of spamming our meta with blog ideas. I'd prefer to use some other medium for voting on posts. Personally I don't mind the way we have things now, although I do think we should cleanup topics that don't get the required votes after a month or so
