Hi!
Hi. Is there something wrong with it?
The tag is OK.
then how may i be of service? :)
The only minor issue seems to be the question (space.stackexchange.com/questions/1997/…) you re-tagged.
:)
I may be nitpicking, but the Q seems to be about landing modes, not gear.
hm.
landing gear is a recognized term
22:59
Yup, it is.
i can't think of anything that covers all the options other than that, though landing-mode is a good catch all i'm not sure it would work.
is landing-mode used?
Landing is the umbrella term, I reckon.
i suppose. i thought landing gear would be a way for people to search more specifically. I haven't looked around and found other questions that would apply to it, but i figured there must be some.
I read somewhere on the main SE Meta that if a term comes up in an answer (as part of the solution) then there's no need to retag. If it appears in the Q it's fair game.
Maybe I'm overthinking this.

Q: Why don't the Space Shuttle's tires explode in the vacuum of space?

James JenkinsAccording to this NASA article the tires are inflated to 340 psi (main gear) and 300 psi (nose gear). At landing, there is significant strain, but what about in space? Are the tires exposed to vacuum or are they in a pressurized compartment? It seems like the stress of being in a very cold and n...

(in the latter case, the 5 tag limit comes into play, it seems)
i don't thing adding the tag is destructive... i noticed today a set of tags is displayed that are 'yours' when you - do something i can't remember
@DeerHunter nice, two candidates already
i'd probably ax the technology tag of the tire one and replace it

You are doing it OK, and tag editing is a fine way to make the site better.
I was slightly uncomfortable on the Europa question, though.
i'm trying to get used to it. i have the time to do things like this and i think it is one of those things that can have a subtle effect.
alright
probably needs some cleanup or nuking...
i don't like to see questions, especially good questions, with only two tags. i'd prefer a slightly wonky tag than a lack of tags.
imo
:)
I'll post a meta Q to canvass on .
it's probably another case of something that could be said better. i believe i've used it once or twice.
maybe it would be a good one to call up and look to see how it has been applied.

Already been asked:

Q: Do we need the {technology} tag?

UndoI just noticed we have a technology tag. It's excerpt states this: Questions relating to the use of technology to further space exploration. I'm wondering what the community's opinion is on this tag - it seems to me like it is almost intrinsic - there isn't much space exploration not having...

ha. gotta learn to properly search like that. i underestimate how much has already been covered. :P

Q: Blacklisting and nuking [technology] tag?

Deer HunterRelated (I'll be glad if it's considered a dupe, but the other Q did not specifically ask for blacklisting): Do we need the {technology} tag? Counted 47 questions with the tag: https://space.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/technology Rationale: a large part of space exploration is based on t...

i'll take this all under advisement. it is hard to get a sense of what our core members are thinking. i appreciate that you contacted me.
Okay, done. Thanks for bearing with me!
wow we have a new room that's more active than the Pod Bay?
23:25
:D
ain't i proud...
so you talked it over right?
I reverted that question to previous revision
yeah, i saw.
alright...
Mark only chose the term "landing gear" in his answer to illustrate a point, but that's not even an issue there. Also, (just reading up now), Deer Hunter's point here (about tags from keywords in answers) isn't the biggest concern. I think a bigger one is narrowing the scope of the question too much with them.
I actually did one such retag recently where I included a tag OP might not have thought of, and was perhaps more relevant to the answer than to the question. That "drake-equation" one that you answered. But it kinda worked anyway, I got no complaints.
I wasn't sure that's a good thing to do either.
Anyway, why is this chat room created as a gallery one?
And shall I move all this to the Pod Bay?
23:31
oh, i don't know. deerhunter did it.
OK then he might have had reasons. Didn't see him in chats for a long time. Shame
in fact he pinged me to enter it through a comment, in the moon hoax q on meta.
my connection went down or i actually would have tried to tallk to him more
people don't realize my connection is constantly interrupted
want me to write to your ISP?
Don't they realize this is important??
howzzat? :P
yeah...
My Spanish isn't all that great anyway, I thin network is redes?
23:34
yep
OK I'm out of here. I'll try posting an answer to Hunter's question
alright. i'm going to take a look at the technology tag list and provisionally try a couple of retags.
