Here is a different look at Dave Ramsey: garynorth.com/public/8447.cfm

@IsaacMoses That seems very sensible. Most financial blogs include a very standard disclaimer of the sort you are referring to. I'm going to go over and have a look, unless I complain otherwise, will be giving enthusiastic upvote!
@IsaacMoses Just got back from there. Upvoted, and noticed the following from old BasicallyMoney, the PersonalFinance stackexchange 1.0, on WayBackMachine as someone suggested in comments in your suggestion:
"Absolutely no warranty is provided in relation to the fitness, completeness, suitability, or accuracy of information on this site.
Consider seeking professional advice specific to your situation before you make important financial or legal decisions."
I thought that seemed quite good, and appropriate. I don't know where on the page it appeared, how often, new users or all users, etc. Just that it was a good idea for it to appear somewhere, with some degree of easy visibility!

@Muro I just read that Gary North post. I can't get beyond the first point. Specifically that Ramsey was wrong for criticizing Schiff's book without having read it, or being substantively familiar with it. I don't agree with a lot of what I read that follows. But it rankles to no end to make a comment like Ramsey did. Even if gold had fared terribly, even if the stock market were strong and no-load mutual funds were earning 50% return per annum now.
I don't know if I'm guilty of making the ad hominem logic mistake, but it biases me against anything else Ramsey says, when he dismisses something totally out of hand, in public, on the record.
@Muro That elicited a mild lol from me, I confess....

@FeralOink Yeah..I'm always suspicious of an investment "expert" who says they would never invest in X. He is obviously not thinking objectively.
