How, in the great "tag cleanup" have we not consolidated "possessive" and "genitive"?
@Catija MAR has heroic ambitions: slay the dragon first, then worry about the cockroaches.
But creating a synonym is easy. Doesn't have to be removed at all.
But I don't have enough rep in "possessive" to suggest the synonym.
Fersher. My own inclination is to convene a revolutionary cell and work out what the tags ought to be, then make it all happen in one fell swoop. ... among other things, every time I want to get involved in that it takes me twenty minutes to figure out how to propose a synonym and another twenty to figure out how to vote.
That's why I made a meta question about it :P Just to get a mod to do it instead of all that other mess.

CatijaThey are the same thing. There's no reason to have two tags. Tag genitive (17 questions) is significantly less-used than the tag possessive (104 questions), so it seems that possessive should be the primary.
