@Aaron if you have made the wrong assumption and the question gets closed as too broad, then you know. That is the learning point. And then please stop making it into a huge argument.

I think one of the challenges is that every time one of your posts is closed as too broad you make it into a huge issue and use "how would I know it was too broad?"
Instead, take it being closed as too broad as "now I know that is too broad, I'll try and narrow the question"
Otherwise it just looks like you are being overly confrontational
@Aaron maybe it is the way you are doing your research, but every search I have experimented with shows the dramatic differences in numbers and types of fish based on location, season, time of day, etc
I think that's why the "lack of research" point comes up - maybe just not effective research

@RoryAlsop To be fair, paparazzo was voting to close all of Aaron's questions and that gets old real fast.

Sure, but he was not the only one. And some of them really did need to be closed

@RoryAlsop Whenever there is a fight around here, he is usually involved. At what point is the site simply better off without that user always instigating things?

Would someone else like to go nicely explain that this answer outdoors.stackexchange.com/a/20661/8794 is just a low quality advertisement for a youtube channel to the OP?
