@Sue I don't know what the correct number would be, but I can was finding lots last night that needed retagging and so I was just fixing them. It can be worth it to get more answers and votes maybe revisit whether certain questions should be closed. Sometimes you find where 4-5 questions need to be retagged and its better to do it all at once.

@Sue there are at least three that should be retagged from this search outdoors.stackexchange.com/…
01:19
I think the kids tag should be merged or retagged with the children tag

@Sue It is probably just as well than nobody understood the message, except probably Charlie.

@imsodin: Regarding the meta post for skiing tag, 'backcountry skiing' makes sense to me.
@WedaPashi Thanks for that. If you need to google, that is not really what I intended, exactly because I made the same observation that things go in circles online. I am looking for what is actually used among people who do ski in that particular way.
Ups, that should have been addressed to @Sue
@WedaPashi Did you vote for Paparazzi's post? I only see your comment on James Jenkin's which advocates cross-country?

@CharlieBrumbaugh - yeah, @Sue's point is relevant, and has come up on many sites. Balancing the improvement in retagging (and your efforts really do help) with the glut of old questions on the front page is tricky
Most sites agree doing just a few a day based on how busy the site is, so the front page isn't full of old posts
As this is getting really close (just needs 5 more answers voted up to 10 votes) - any of you folks like drones, either for racing around, or for taking incredible pictures of mountains? If so, please go and sign up, and upvote some of the questions that don't yet have 10 votes:

Oh no, we are at a stalemate on the skiing nomenclature vote - is this community trying to troll me? :P
I just hope the vote isn't biased by who wrote the question/answer, I just want to know about the word that is in use xD

@RoryAlsop don't know a lot about them but it seems interesting idea so I have followed it

@RoryAlsop Done! I have no idea what most of those questions mean, but I trust you, and I like to see new sites succeed. Actually, drone pictures of things on the earth would be cool. Can a drone see under the ocean? If you run out of questions and want me to ask some, just feed them to me. I can't think of anything wrong with that.

@CharlieBrumbaugh As I said, I think tags are very important. In some cases I think we should have more, and in other cases, fewer. In fact, I like your idea about merging and . I think Children should probably be the one we keep. (kids only has 2 anyway.) There's a process for that. @RoryAlsop could help or I think you can bring it up in meta.
@CharlieBrumbaugh Yes, sometimes you find 4 or 5 questions that are easy to change all at once. In your recent case, though, over a period of a few hours, you changed 34. That's more than an entire page if our browser is set to 30, and even more if it's set to 15. I keep mine set to see 50 questions at a time, and 34 was a large percentage of those. As for leaving some alone, like the closed ones, that would have been easy to do.
I see your point about re-visiting old questions too, although I was recently admonished not to do that, especially for the purpose of closing them.
In your group, we're likely to find discrepancies between old and new policies. Again, that can be a good thing, but also potentially confusing.

Thanks for your hard work, of course.
The plus side is that you can get positive new attention for old questions too. New things to vote on and contemplate.
