@Charlie Brumbaugh, @Sue The speed of light is almost (in round numbers) 300,000 kiloarmlengths per attention-span.

@ab2 That would make it an extremely large number of kiloarmlengths for me, based on my attention-span! A study published in 2015 lists the average attention span as approximately 8.25 seconds, less than the goldfish which is 9. That translates to 2,475,000 kiloarmlengths per attentionspanpersecond.
The length of our arm span (tips of longest fingers with arms outstretched) is approximately the same as our height, and the length of our foot is the same as our elbow to our wrist. However, none of this matters because it has taken longer than 8.25 seconds to read it, and even if we cared 8.25 seconds ago, we're already on to something else!
Btw, Sorry I over-edited your already great answer to the question about immunity to diseases in the mountains of Nepal. I'm glad you left some of it in, just so I know I didn't waste all of your time, but I see why some of my changes were too severe. I'm glad you fixed it back since it wasn't broken anyway!
Moonring all. Hope it's been a lovely weekend, @WedaPashi, @Liam, @Charlie, @ab2, @Aravona, @anderas, @Rory Alsop, @etc.

@Sue I am taking an arm length as one meter. This is a long arm, so I put in the word almost. I think the yard was defined as the length of some English king's arm. The speed of light is 300,000 kilometers per second. From this, we deduce that I have assumed the attention-span is one second. My assumption was intended to insult someone, but it wasn't you!
