@Liam @Liam So sorry it took all day to get to you. My computer's fixed but it's the middle of the night now where you are! I'll preface by saying I've changed my mind, then explain my original thinking.
What concerned me was that the question didn't seem to have anything to do with going anywhere, and tying knots just for fun in the backyard might be out of scope. Mostly I thought it spawned the clothesline question which I thought was off-topic, and I couldn't call that one a "backyard" question without doing the same to you!.
I was confused about policy. I think we've established in some meta post that pretty much anything we can do in the wild is okay to ask, even if it's not in the wild. I was a proponent of that, so I was definitely a hypocrite where this was concerned.
As is often the case, I assume I've put enough thought into something before hitting send on a comment, and later realize I'd been wrong. I've apologized to the clothesline OP, and am now apologizing to you. I'm going to delete my comments there. Partly because they're obsolete and partly because I get embarrassed when my incorrect comments stay around for all to see!!!
I just realized I'm actually more of a hypocrite than I thought. Many of my animal-watching questions, though not all of course, have to do with what's going on in my own back yard! Writing this has taught me a good lesson, so thanks for that!

When scuba diving I use a weight belt for my weight system - my BCD does have an integrated weight system, but I am still working on my weight distribution for buoyancy.
My weight belt is similar to the image below which has a lead shot bag in but currently I use lead blocks as provided from my ...

@Aravona Hi! I thought I replied to this message an hour ago, but I must have forgotten to hit Send! Anyway, thank you for letting me know why you rolled back the edit, you didn't owe me an explanation. I'm sorry I improperly interfered with your question. It's good to see a new question from you, especially on such an interesting subject. Somewhere on the site I posted a question concerning corals. They're awesome!

I usually only get political when it comes to saving animals, big surprise! President Trump is threatening to decimate areas which President Obama declared National Treasures. One of these is New England Corals and Seamounts, nrdc.org/sites/default/files/…. It's home to corals and undersea volcanoes, and wildlife which will become extinct without protection. It's the only protected eco-system of its kind in the Atlantic Ocean.
Coldwater corals live there, and often no other place. It's a few hours from my house. I know you're not anywhere near here, but I'm hoping you might be willing to sign a petition to help protect it. We only have until July 10th to make an impact. If it's something you're interested in, there are many places online to contact the Secretary of the Interior. One of them is here, secure.earthjustice.org/site/…...
