@Aravona Thanks for both the idea and the excellent answer! People seem to like it :). I feel like all the rep should go to you, question and answer! I hope you get to go see it. Maybe you could take a picture and post it on the answer, or at least in here so we can see it! By the way, I didn't mean to insult anyone by saying England rather than UK. I'm glad someone corrected it, even though the edit comment seemed a bit snarky! I hope you're having a lovely evening!
@ab2 and @Erik Do either of you want to take a look at my answer to the Costa Rica question, and help me understand why it was downvoted within 10 seconds after posting? I'm not going to post a request for the downvoter to explain. Erik, does this help clarify your thinking that perhaps we shouldn't be leaving those questions open? I thought an answer with some information was better than none.
I did a lot of research, and could have provided answers about more of their interests, but I picked one, thinking some info was better than none. Maybe there are people here who'd like to go white water rafting there - I know I would after seeing the pictures. I was clear that I hadn't been there, and my answer was just from research, so I'm not quite sure what I did wrong. Input from you or anyone here would be really helpful!
ab2, I think you said this was not a good candidate for a cut/paste answer. Did I do too much of that? Hmm, would like to learn something from this. I'm also tempted to add info about where to find the waterfalls, of which there are tons. My dad always wanted to take us to Costa Rica, and we were finally planning the trip, but he died before we could get there. (He was 86 and had an awesome life, so that's not the point. I'm just sad we missed that opportunity!)
Also ab2, I'm hoping you're still planning on writing a meta question about the cut/paste thing. I know you're busy of course. Thanks to all of you, and of course @CharlieBrumbaugh, for the meta work you do to improve the site!
Charlie, are you interested in giving an opinion about my Costa Rica answer? No biggie, you expressed yourself well on the meta question, but I didn't know if you'd want to say something to me personally that I could learn from.
