it was just a passing thought more than something i definitely think is a good idea
to be honest that sort of FAQ style info should probably go in the wiki tags
we're on 99% answered at the moment - i'm not sure I've ever seen something quite that high!
I haven't really been that active on many sites other than SO before this one, but I presume I'm right in thinking that from the signs I'm seeing and comments people have made it's going rather well to date?
I guess that's the sort of thing that builds up more naturally over time though - as the beta becomes more established more sites will link to questions / answers, pushing us up in search rankings and hence generating more traffic
@Kevin Nah - as you may have gathered I'm pretty new to the whole process of a site going through area51 / beta / the things behind it. I'm more than happy to answer questions as best I can do but the day to day moderation is probably best left to people more familiar with the system than I
I'd already upvoted both your proposals but I've now left a comment on both as well
It's exciting to get in on this SE at the ground level, I can't wait until it gets a steady volume of questions. I'm noticing that location (e.g. where the person asking the question is from) is pretty non-existent at the moment. Could that be added as a guideline to the FAQ?
If you stumble on one, the normal "edit" link will say "edit (0)" (or 1 or 2), and once you get tag wiki edits, you can access the queue through the "review" link on the top bar.
