@Liam Of course they did. Makes sense. It was an obvious call. When they declared they had the Post-Tea session of Day 4, and the entire day 5. The way indians have batted in this game, I don't think they could retain the wickets and force a draw. Right? And, of course India wouldn't chase 400+ on such a pitch. England is gonna win this game by Lunch time, or the most by Tea time. And they deserve it.
@aravona: Even I've been working outside for last 3 weeks. I saw people in my company pointing fingers at me and overheard them saying, "hey, see this nerd? I've seen him with some stupid antenna and a fan kind of a thing, running all over out roofs. The nerd jots down what he sees. Strange!" :D
@EverythingRightPlace As i read southern Germany somewhere up in the chat: where are U from?
@RoryAlsop and @EverythingRightPlace As i have sen that you have already edited this question: outdoors.stackexchange.com/questions/6271/… How's your opinion about it? I'm somewhat tempted to close it as it might get some dangerous answers and I also don't see a way to rephrase the question such that it is less dangerous.
@BenediktBauer I don't think this is a problem. If someone answers false, community will respond adequately
The question is on topic and perfectly fine I think. And it's interesting, some days ago I saw a guy in my local climbing hall. He was in the wall alone and was pulling lots of rope up. It looked really difficult but he seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Guess he was practising for some solo outdoor climbing.
@EverythingRightPlace I don't think it's off-topic, but similar to medical topics I have some bad feelings about asking for and giving advice about things where it is not clear who will will take it how serious in the future.
Concerning the city: yep, it is really beautiful and old. And the surrounding landscape is fantastic for climbing and biking...
Unfortunately the Alps are a bit too far for spontaneous nice day trips on the weekend
But you can't prevent people from asking and answering those questions (medicine, security, ...). Everyone should know that you shouldn't trust a single opinion of an anonymous person in the internet without proper reputation. I think this isn't our problem tbh
And if a responsible person answers, he will say that it's just his opinion and he may not be a physician or that kind
@BenediktBauer Last autumn I made a bike tour with my sister and her friend from Eichstätt to Regensburg. Altmühltal is nice and I heard that there are some nice trails to go mountain biking
But where can you go climbing there?
I always came to Regensburg because I bought my bike there and had to fix it :D
@EverythingRightPlace that's true... maybe I'm a bit too strict here, but even in real life I normally give advice on such topics only if I have assured myself that the other person knows how to deal with that information. If I'm not sure, I prefer to not tell anything.
@EverythingRightPlace We have some spots west of the Danube that are reachable by bike in a bit less than an hour (if you like to do some warm-up before) or by car in about 15 minutes. Then we have the "Donaudurchbruch" at Weltenburg near Kelheim and to the Altmühltal parts east of Ingolstadt it's also not that far.
And yes, there's lots of nice and technical MTB trails also and you can hop between the different river valleys which will bring you lots of up- and downhills...
At Weltenburg there are some climbs that you can only reach by abseiling... you should be sure to be able to come up again, otherwise you will have to leave them by swimming.
Oh, I grew up west of Munich (my parents life at the north end of Ammersee) and came to Regensburg to study (actually I came there because my – meanwhile – wife was born here and I was about to begin studying when I got to know her and so one thing caused the other ;-) )
I have been to Dresden twice now I think for conferences... unfortunately I didn't have much time to visit the city itself as such conferences tend to be a bit intense.
@RoryAlsop @RoryAlsop Thanks for your opinion, I think I could live with that.
@BenediktBauer I think it could be valuable - I mean, I know how to jumar out of a crevasse if I have to, but it's always good to understand different ways to climb, so I'm interested in an answer on this one :-=)
I nearly flagged the comment of @RoryAlsop to get moderator attention, guess this would lead to an infinite loop which might cause the (SE-) universe to implode?!?!
@EverythingRightPlace yeah - the usual comment flags we see are spam/offensive, or on really old posts, we sometimes see obsolete or too chatty, as people are trying to clean up old comment threads
Its a bad bad day at office :( came in early at 7 am, and now I am gonna have to stay in working late till 3 am may be. By the looks of the things seems like, m gonna have to sleep in office itself :( All alone in 600 heads cubic. The entire floor! And yeah, the city is flooded already due to heavy rains.
