@MichaelE2 Has this always been like this?
Code like this is unreadable.

@rhermans I don't think it has always been like this on this site, if that's what you mean. It seems to happen more with newbies than with experienced users. We seem to attract more newbies these days. But I do think that being able to typeset input code as mathematics has always been attractive to teachers, who in turn show it to students.
@rhermans Yep, sure is.
I have seen a user respond, "Can't you just paste it into Mma and have it typeset?" They seem not to care that when I see a mess, I usually don't want to get involved.

How hard would it be to add functionality to the Mathematica Editor-buttons for StackExchange by @halirutan to fix code like that?

m_goldberg made a Meta post specifically for this issue. I don't know how hard it would be to make such buttons. Nearly impossible for me to do it, though. :)

Yeah, I have now a new comment template.
`Code like this is unreadable. You should know that by not taking care of sharing reasonably formatted code in InputForm, you are alienating many experienced people that could otherwise help find a good answer.`

Q: Is it acceptable to post code in non-human readable form? (i.e not Raw Input Form)

rhermansThe offence There seem to be a significant amount of new people posting code that looks like this (please edit this question and replace this line if you know how to technically describe this form of code) a = (E^(-2 Abs[\[Gamma] - z Cos[\[Theta]]]^2) \!\( \*UnderoverscriptBox[\(\[Sum]\), \(j =...

@MichaelE2 I'm quoting your post on my question. AFAIK, there is no consensus whether such formatting is to be tolerated to excluded.
