One of my friends suggested Apple officially supporting a path to unlock iPhones for advanced users. Many people in the comments of articles at a minimum say Apple needs to get rid of the ban on apps mentioning that users can buy things on a website outside the app, etc. The "no steering" provision.
@ChrisK I couldn't quite understand why they wanted to change this, since the benefit seems small relative to the design work/number of edge cases introduced
@b3m2a1 At first I was like "yeah, finally subscripted variables are accepted" but then the issue of how to handle things like I wrote came up. Maybe a solution would be to treat non-Symbol subscripts as part of one variable (x_1 or x_"init") but keep symbolic ones as is -- if this is indeed an issue
