@Edmund Huh, when did 12.1.1 drop?! D/l'ing now
01:41
@Edmund I would like to know too!

@ChrisK I did get a bunch of emails recently where they told me that bugs I had reported are resolved now. Of course I have no idea what those bugs were at this stage since I reported them in 2018...
@ChrisK I got my 12.1.1 email today. Not sure when it dropped.

I just won the fanatic badge for Mathematica ! I did not realize I was a fanatic Mathematica user until now.
@b3m2a1 me too. I get like 4 emails. I also do not remember what these bugs about. You would think the email will at least include short description? May be they do not use databases at WRI to store bug reports? :)
For example, the mail just says "In July 2019 you reported an issue with Mathematica wherein regression in 12.0 in DSolve and initial condition." I do see the CASE number in the subject, but I have no idea how to look up this CASE number at WRI. I could ofcourse search my email folder for the old email I send and see what it was about.

Q: Workaround for DSolve in V 12 when it gives undefined as solution to 1D heat PDE?

NasserReported to WRI CASE: 4278450 Comparing the following, all done from clean kernel The strange thing is that V 12 can solve this same PDE without the assumptions k = 1/10; A = 60; pde = D[u[x, t], t] == k*D[u[x, t], {x, 2}]; bc = u[0, t] == A; ic = u[x, 0] == 0; sol = DSolve...

(yes, databases are being used actually)

@Murta took 7 years. I got a mail after 15 years ...

I suspect there are bugs reported by me for which the email forwarding chain from old addresses has broken ages ago and are still unresolved...

Sometimes I really wonder about their logic. They broke DateListPlot day ticks on non-week-aligned month-long plots on 12.1 and apparently they're still broken on 12.1.1. Can't be that hard to fix, but it's a continuous visual annoyance.

@kirma suggests a lack of unit testing/developer tools to run unit tests without having to set stuff up with a Q/A team
