@Kuba Haven't a clue, sorry. I've never used either

@b3m2a1 Can you link to it please?

I'm trying to make tables like in the image to calculate max and min of the expressions.
Whenever I change the max and min of a and b in the upper table then the MixEx and MaxEx are updated automatically
Can anyone give me some idea how to do that?

A: Can we implement a Neural Network interactively?

b3m2a1Update: So after adding the missing features I decided to give your actual problem a go. This is what I have: You'll note a little "Add Layer" ActionMenu on the right. That's really the only actual extension to the basic BlockBuilder[] interface I needed. Wasn't hard to get in. The Run funct...

How can I get the upper and lower values in IntervalSlider?

@anhnha what do you mean by get? From where?

@Kuba like this one
there is upper and lower bound
I need to use their values

Yeah, but where does it come from?

from IntervalSlider
for example IntervalSlider[Dynamic[int], {-10, 10, 1}], Dynamic[int]}
how to read and use upper and lower bound?

11:59 AM
@anhnha so it is not you who creates this slider? It can be done but it is not so fast:
Cases[NotebookRead@PreviousCell[],
 InterpretationBox[_, IntervalSlider[_, {l_, u_, s_}], ___] :> {l,
   u}, \[Infinity]]
Replace PreviousCell[] with the slider's parent cell.

I don't understand your question.
The problem is from here
I don't want to use 2 variables for slider as that method.
so I want to combine them into one IntervalSlider
what's slider's parent cell?
how can I get it?
I want to read current a, b values
and use it somewhere

@anhnha Sorry, I missunderstood, they are in int, aren't they?
You can move the slider and evaluate int[[1]] to get a.

IntervalSlider[Dynamic[int], {-10, 10, 1}]
a = int[[1]]
how about b?
it doesn't work for me

How do you want to use it?
And what does not work?

12:16 PM
it doesn't return value

Q: Making tables and update calculated values

anhnhaI'm trying to make tables like in the image to calculate max and min of the expressions. Whenever I change the max and min of a and b in the upper table then the MixExand MaxEx are updated automatically. How can I do that in Mathematica?

I want to use it as minA, maxA, minB, maxB in that code

Then do IntervalSlider[Dynamic[{minA, maxA}], ...?
Please also read reference.wolfram.com/language/tutorial/… and related tutorials.

The tutorial doesn't mention 2 variables like that
Manipulate[Module[{a, b}, Quiet@Grid[{{"expression", "Min", "Max"},
{"a+b",
First@
Minimize[{a + b, minA < a < maxA && minB < b < maxB}, {a, b}],
First@
Maximize[{a + b, minA < a < maxA && minB < b < maxB}, {a, b}]},
{"-a",
First@Minimize[{-a, minA < a < maxA}, a],
First@Maximize[{-a, minA < a < maxA}, a]},
{"a+2 b",
First@
Minimize[{a + 2 b, minA < a < maxA && minB < b < maxB}, {a, b}],
First@
Maximize[{a + b, minA < a < maxA && minB < b < maxB}, {a, b}]},
{"-b",
First@Minimize[{-b, minB < b < maxB}, b],
how can I use that in this code?
I tried to add but that causes error
{IntervalSlider[Dynamic[{minA, maxA}], {-10, 10, 1}],
Dynamic[{minA, maxA}]},

Row@{IntervalSlide...

12:43 PM
yea, it works now.

2 hours later…
3:00 PM
can anyone detect what's the error here?

3:26 PM
How can I give a name for IntervalSlider like this?

3 hours later…
6:08 PM
ClearAll[functions, minMax]
functions = {# + #2 &, -# &, # + 2 #2 &, -#2 &, 1/(2 # - #2) &};
minMax = MinMax@*Interval;
DynamicModule[{a = {20, 50}, b = {35, 75}},
Dynamic@Grid[{{Grid[{{Labeled[
intSlider[Dynamic@{a[[1]], a[[2]]}, {0, 100, 1}],
Style["a", 16], Left], SpanFromLeft, SpanFromLeft,
SpanFromLeft}, {Labeled[
intSlider[Dynamic@{b[[1]], b[[2]]}, {0, 100, 1}],
Style["b", 16], Left], SpanFromLeft, SpanFromLeft,
SpanFromLeft}}, Dividers -> All, ItemSize -> 10]}, {Dynamic@
Grid[{{"expr", SpanFromLeft, "min (expr)", "max (expr)"} /.
can anyone explain this?
the code runs very fast but very difficult to understand

guys how do you upload your .nb to github ? i tried uploading something i did but when i download and open it with mathematica all i get i a mixture of html and mathematica code

2 hours later…
8:27 PM
@Alucard Did you download the Raw version of what GitHub provides? That's the plain-text form

9:19 PM
i clicked on the .nb and then "saves as" but the downloaded version shows a lot of html that has nothing to do with the original files
update: i just realized that everything works fine if i download the folder as zip file.

@Alucard Save As saves the HTML for the page. There should be a little "Raw" button on the page if you're viewing the NB on GitHub. Do the Save As on that.
E.g. this github.com/b3m2a1/mathematica-tools/blob/master/BagInterface.nb becomes this github.com/b3m2a1/mathematica-tools/raw/master/BagInterface.nb when Raw. The second one is just the raw content so it has no HTML.

9:57 PM
@b3m2a1 Thanks|
