I hope ResourceFunction can download the document asynchronous before I use F1.
Or press F1 to pop up a web page also barely acceptable.
09:03
@GalAster almost no chance of that, I think. The only real hope for that is if ResourceFunction download automatically downloads puts its documentation somewhere in the "ResourceSystemClient"
I can't image HelpLookup is going to have a special overload just to check if there are resource function pages for the name. The cost would be ridiculous.
09:58
Is there any way to pack ResourceFunction/ResourceObject on one computer and then install on another computer, so there is no need to download twice.
@GalAster the actual content should be cached somewhere in your LocalObject storage (dig through the docs on that). Whether you can just move things over or not I dunno.
10:39
@b3m2a1 Only copy is useless, need to re-register somehow
10:56
Yeah look at how the ResourceSystemClient paclet maintains its register.
I'm sure there's something in tere for it.
My kingdom for a front end that doesn't crash when I ask it to do things that it can't do :(

Desperately want this functionality. WTC '15 and still not released. youtube.com/watch?v=dgUiIe-Vz6g
My message from yesterday, "haven't been using mma long enough to get properly annoyed with how long seemingly obvious features take to deliver " hasn't aged well
(The WebServer stuff, that is)
Aha! HTTPHandling`StartWebServer[]
Pity, seems like it doesn't work too well. Cool though, would love to see it

@CarlLange ` HTTPHandlingStartWebServer[] is in a bad shape I tried to deploy API functions with this. Fails badly for POST requests as it can not access the body part of incoming requests. Also pretty bad in performance I guess.
I guess developers did not touch that part of code for two or more years though it ships with every release undocumented.
@PlatoManiac I also confirm this.
Sometimes the error messages are odd, and not inline with expectations.
This is a very powerful functionality. It would be great to have it working correctly... Does anyone know who is in charge of this functionality at WRI?

Random question for you all... I know that Wolfram has a diagram that shows how all the properties related to food are interconnected. It was on display downstairs at the WTC, and had a link to source, but for the life of me, I can't track it down now. Anyone have an idea where I can find it?
Never mind... I just found it via the WTC presentation on the subject... wolframcloud.com/objects/andrews/FoodOntologyGraph/Home
Thanks Jason!

No problem - Andrew was really happy to hear someone was interested in it
18:06
Tell him it is actually for a Christmas gift for a fellow Wolfram enthusiast... unless of course that is a copyright violations... in which case I just wanted to look at it... ;-)

@P.Fonseca @PlatoManiac It's a pity, it's so close. I'd really like a LocalDeploy[] or something along with CloudDeploy[]. It would make WL a bit less of a walled garden...

@P.Fonseca I think no one is for a long time but there's a good chance that he was or knows who was: community.wolfram.com/web/carlob
