@MikeHoneychurch Could you please try if IGraph/M works on that OS? Install with this function, load using <<IGraphM` and evaluate IGVersion[]. If you see no error messages then everything is fine.
I am not entirely confident about cross-OS-version compatibility and I changed how something gets compiled again.
I am looking for people who have MATLAB R2018a/b and Mathematica installed on Linux. It could be your institutional HPC cluster. I need to run some MATLink tests.
MATLink has some problems on Linux with the two recent MATLAB versions. The person who contacted us about this problem has vanished. At last contact he claimed that the solution I proposed did not work for him, even though it did work for me. We need to release a new version of MATLink that fixes this issue and I need confirmation that it works on more than just my machine.
/sigh So I've got to use Jupyter for some work I have at the moment. Does anybody know of any nice extensions that will make it even a little less crap?
(cf matplotlib conversation from the other day)
I definitely found switching to the notebook style of programming quite tough when I started learning MMA, but I don't think I could ever have done it if I had initially tried with jupyter.
@GalAster Some day, maybe you could publish all the cool NN layers you've implemented as a Paclet or something... They seem extremely useful and I haven't seen many new ones coming in 12
Anybody ever get their $Context reset by the system to "CloudObjectPrivate"``? It must have happened because I interrupted a computation (ParallelTable[..]). The lines of code in the cell after the interrupted ParallelTable[..]` created symbols in this private context, also.
@MichaelE2 I had a similar situation when working on Rubi. The loading of the integration rules took some seconds and when you aborted this, the closing End and EndPackage was never reached.
@halirutan There is a way around that: put a Block[{$Context, $ContextPath}, ...] around the Get command in init.m, then add the appropriate context to the context path manually after the Block.
