huh. The online interface.
For those curious, FormFunction is not currently supported online: "FormFunction is not currently supported in a Wolfram Cloud notebook." Dang. Time to start thinking of a workaround....

Q: Community bot raking up abandoned questions

Gaurav JosephThe Community bot frequently rakes up abandoned questions, I have come across a few, for example, WD Elements 1042 usb 3.0 not recognized by Windows 7 Is it not better to put it in the review queue and help to be removed, since it is partially pertinent to the OP and there is no accepted answer....

@halirutan I'm in Hamburg for the time being. So hello from relatively closer than usual.

@MichaelHale So you came at the right time to Germans from their best side :(
@halirutan I just got here yesterday afternoon, so I think I missed most of the excitement. Although right now I'm missing my luggage, which was lost on the flight from Zurich. I'm having to improvise a bit on plans. My friend in Switzerland guessed poorly how her boyfriend would respond to me staying with her. So it was best I leave a bit earlier than planned, but didn't feel right to go back to Miami yet. So those German couchsurfers I mentioned a while ago saved the day.
I'm in this Airbnb until Wednesday and then staying with one of them until I figure out what to do next.
@MichaelHale OMG that sounds terrible and funny at the same time. I guess she didn't tell her bf that you are hot?
And what is your overall plan? Are you making vacation here?
@halirutan Lol. Yes there were some nice times during the past week, but also plenty of unpleasant ones as well. Not that I could understand a lot of the arguing lol. There isn't much of a plan. I'm just here. I'm working during the day as usual. I'm trying to keep my expenses relatively low since I'm still paying for my expensive Miami apartment, but other than that I can stay as long as I want and go wherever.
The only actual plan so far is the girl in Hamburg is taking me to a festival on Thursday.

There is an old quote in German: "Eifersucht ist eine Leidenschaft, die mit Eifer sucht, was Leiden schafft." Run it through google translate and see if you can get the meaning.

The rest sounds good. If you travel south to Berling and Munich and you like to stop at the not so crowded city Leipzig, give me a sign.
@halirutan The translation is understandable but seems verbose. Interesting that it parses it all as one phrase, not subphrases.
My initial reaction is to shorten "Jealousy is a passion that eagerly seeks what creates suffering." to "Jealousy is a passion to eagerly seek suffering." But maybe the distinctions are important.
Regardless, I'll definitely let you know if I head closer your way.
@MichaelHale In German it's much better as "Eifersucht" perfectly fits into the second part where "Eifer" as noun and "sucht" as verb are use to say "seek with eagerness".
And no, your translation is better. It's just that we love subclauses in Germany
@MichaelHale Nice. I'm trying to convince my wife not to be jealous :)
@halirutan Lol. I totally missed the Eifersucht -> Eifer sucht word play. Would be hard to replicate that because "jealousy" isn't the same compound word in English. "Lousy" is a word. "Jealousy is a passion to replace your passions with something lousy." Lol something like that mabye

@MichaelHale Yeah, it's probably the only reason this quote (from 1850 or so) is so popular.
I've been doing a fair bit of 0 based indexing recently with JavaScript and some C#. Lodash.js definitely helps a lot, but I miss a pipe/postfix operator for sure.

I also miss simple function overloading.
And many Wolfram functions.
