@Szabolcs great idea~ So will simply updating the question I've posted enough?

Convergence of alignment of points under Lloyd's algorithm: hue is surrounding (hexagonal) lattice alignment offset, saturation is higher if standard deviation is low.
Basically, points arrange themselves to larger and larger domains over time, sharing the same alignment.

Hi, guys!
Could someone who are familiar with Wolfram LibraryLink techinque give me an explanation about the difference between int const *dims and int const *dims?
This is the key problem written in this answer.

@ShutaoTANG presumably you mean mint const *dims? I think the updated answer from happy fish explains it.

@MichaelE2, have you already seen this, this, and this? (It seems likely you have, but I wanted to be sure.)

@ShutaoTANG Both an int and a mint can have various sizes, but most likely in your case mint is 64-bit and int is 32-bit. Through pointers, you take the memory location where the 64-bit mint exists, take the first 32 bits of it, and interpret those bits as an int. Of course that's not going to be the same number that is stored in the mint ...

@J.M. Thanks! I've seen Clenshaw and Clenshaw/Norton, but not the astronomy one. I played a little with linear DEs but not the nonlinear. Haven't really tried to tackle either one yet.

Q: After NumberForm I cannot apply a Sine function. Why?

Imre VéghAfter NumberForm I cannot apply a Sine function. Why? This works: sol1 = x /. Solve[x^2 - 3 == 0, x] Sin[sol1] Output = $\{-Sin[\sqrt{3}],Sin[\sqrt{3}]\}$ Also this works: sol2 = x /. Solve[x^2 - 3 == 0, x] // N Sin[sol2] Output = $\{-0.987027,0.987027\}$ Then why doesn't this work? Mean...

This is closely related but about MatrixForm instead, and permits somewhat different answers:

Q: Why does MatrixForm affect calculations?

Alexey KalmykovThis is a really newbie question, but it has me confused. Why does this code work without // MatrixForm and doesn't work with // MatrixForm? cov = {{0.02, -0.01}, {-0.01, 0.04}} // MatrixForm W = {w1, w2}; FindMinimum[ W.cov.W, W] The error is: The function value ... is not a real number I...
