@user21 ah yes,Schroedinger equation with different boundary conditions, method of separation of variables for stationary states, green method for equation of Laplace and Poisson and field generated by a current, heat equation, helmholtz with fourier... But i have not yet used FEM at all and i really don't know what our teacher will cover and what software he will tell us to use.
@user21 i have been thinking about this the whole day, i think that applying now will put me in a position i am not comfortable with, with a lot of pressure on me while i deal with bioinformatics, so i will pass for the time being and i will submit a general application at the end of this semester, when i will know better. Sorry if i made you waste time. p.s. if you have any suggestion about a software or method that would be useful to know let me know, i need to take the class anyway.

I just post an answer about LibraryLink, kind of advertising a package wll-interface I wrote 2 years ago. mathematica.stackexchange.com/a/215000/22599

@Alucard, no worries. If you are looking for a first discretization method. Then I'd start with the finite difference method.

I was checking out the IntelliJ plugin for Wolfram Language when I was notified about a new IntelliJ version. I clicked "update" and now the plugin doesn't work. I get this: "Plugin Error: Plugin "Wolfram Language" is incompatible (target build range is 192 to 192.*)."

@gdelfino And this is correct :) I'm working as hard as possible beside my job to update everything to the most recent API changes.
Btw, the official built of IntelliJ is still 2019 and 2020 is only EAP. I hope to push the updated plugin version this weekend.
And as a side note: Ensure you have read this if you want to get the new plugin version because I will keep it as beta for the time being.

@halirutan Thanks for the update! I'll probably start using it seriously later (and get a license). For now I was just trying it out. I wanted to use Eclipse with the official WL plugin, but is is so incredible bad... Thank for your effort on this alternative.
