Q: what is a tag wiki and where are they?

AshlarI think I am missing something. At 1500 reputation a user qualifies to edit Tag Wikis. Is this the same as the tag descriptive text found under 'more info' ? I looked at the description of a tag wiki and found this Tag wikis are a general introduction to a topic defined by that tag. They...

@bowl
@Ashlar Yes?
@bowlturner re" tag wikis. Of course the obvious question is what kinds of info in a tag would be most useful. I went back to my first stackexchange site, Drupal Answers and found that they use tags for some information but it is not a broad use.
WHen I was starting on that site, I found it difficult to get some of the basics clear and my questions did not always fit the criteria - too broad or requiring opinion. I assume that many new users here may be faced with similar problems getting started.
A listing of Resources such as reference books or video links seem like a good subject area for a wiki.
Well to be honest, I'm still learning my mod duties here. Your one Wiki post was like nothing I'd seen on the sites I'm active on. But as you pointed what they are for, I think at the very least your edit was fine.
Thanks for that and I think I will experiment a little. Your feedback would be appreciated
Books, I certainly don't have a problem with. Videos, I'd like another opinion, since we generally don't try to send users to other sites for answers...
@Ashlar I'll certainly be willing to give feedback.

Good point although there are some things such as techniques that are much clearer in a video.
"...other sites for answers.. ." The same thing can be said to links to any other woodworking site although it is appropriate to credit ideas to their sources when referenced on this site.
Right, we do need to reference where we get stuff, but the meat of the answer needs to be here. And even sending to a video is ok, but the high points should be talked about in the post. So video links should have a good summary of what they are showing.
