@slumtrimpet FWIW, you might be interested in supporting the DevOps site proposal: area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/97295/devops. Until that site becomes a reality, SoftwareEngineering would probably be a better place for this question than SO: softwareengineering.stackexchange.com. — Dan Cornilescu 51 secs ago

@AaronHall Thanks, that link is useful and I'll probably change my commit messages to follow it. The reason why I haven't noticed before is because I use git on the console much more often than the github web interface and git log prints the full multi-line message. I also have a git log --graph alias that formats everything prettily.
I didn't even notice that this was happening until I opened the repo on github and only saw version numbers in the commit list

For a moment there I thought @Duga's messages were for me: "You should be asking this question on software engineering stack."

@DanCornilescu Thanks for the link over toe the softwareengineering stackexchange. I found some close hits on my question over there without having to re-ask it: softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/57547/…slumtrimpet 1 min ago
This questions seems like a suitable candidate for softwareengineering.sepx06 45 secs ago

you may want to consider posting this in the programmers stack exchange since it's not exactly about code, but about approaching a programming problem / pattern — mmcrae 24 secs ago

Welcome to StackOverflow. StackOverflow questions are primarily about programming and writing software code. Hence, this question isn't likely appropriate for SO. General computer trouble shooting and IT administrator topics are more appropriate for SuperUser or ServerFault. — selbie 25 secs ago

Hi
how goes?
It goes. And yourself?
ready for the weekend, and for it to be over
fun plans?
nope. got to go help clean out grandma's apartment
18:39
oh
will it be good for bonding at least?
probably not. i see enough of my family already. but at least it's not painful, just a little creepy from the lack of her presence.
but, on a cheerier note, there's some cool cops in texas giving away turkeys to people they have to pull over for minor traffic violations
that's kinda odd
maybe, but it's good pr, and a good reminder that the cops are around to help people

@RobertHarvey "What additional justification do you have for the DI container?". Seriously, what is a DI container? Do you mean an IoC container? Is so, please say so. DI doesn't have containers unless you implement DI via IoC containers. Rant over. — David Arno 56 mins ago
