@Majiick that probably depends on the employer, and the kind of job that you would have to perform. In some cases it may be useful, I think there might be some reverse-engineering in some game ports. WRT being on-topic, I believe that per-definition the workplace would be more on-topic than programmers.
@Majiick Try to provide information about what kind of job/employer would you be sending your CV in the future.
BTW: @everybody, I am searching for a picture, it's a fairly old line drawing (probably more than 10 years old). Two guys are building the rails for a train, starting on both ends. When they get to the middle, one was building a monorail and the other has 2 rails as in regular trains (or something like that, can't remember correctly). This is illustrative for for static typing, team communication, etc. Do you know where to find it?
This question is probably more suited to programmers.stackexchange.com. I'd consider posting it there (but bear in mind cross-posting is discouraged so you might want to delete it here). — Tone 25 secs ago

Hi there, any idea why i can not ask questions anymore?
Did you get a message when trying to post?
Yes
Not accepting questions from this account anymore
:,(
You got question banned.
Ok, why?
Did something happen with your last question you posted?
09:28
Nope, 2 upvotes
I assume you're talking about your Programmers account, not that of another SE account
sure
oh, not sure, i mean yes
Did you remove one of your own questions lately?
"No deleted recent questions"
09:32
Yes. Still odd.
@ThomasOwens I hope you don't mind me pinging you, but I fail to see how this user got question banned. Would you mind taking a look?
@PeterRader Do you share your computer with others who have a Stack Exchange account?
Possibly that account got banned and you're collateral damage.
@Mast No, its my private one who noone else has access to. But meta.stackexchange.com/q/86997/269301 already told me to not share computer because of ipbased userfilter. So your hint is a duplicate of the message i really really read carefully!
Just making sure :-)
I pinged the last-seen moderator for you, hopefully he can shed more light on it for you. You can always take it to meta.programmers, but it would likely be closed as a duplicate of the already existing question about that.
Wait, let me try something.
@PeterRader Are you still question banned? If so, try again in 10 minutes.
Humour me.
09:45
Hm, while opening a new question i got a message what i guess i did not get before: "Wait! Some of your past questions have not been well-received, and you're in danger of being blocked from asking any more.". Maybe your upvote did the trick.
I'm not admitting anything.
Make sure you put extra effort in your next question to prevent this from happening again. I guess the system is a bit picky sometimes.
Picky hm? I had +15 by 3 times upvote.
Thank you
@PeterRader I just looked. It looks like borderline on an automatic block. 5 of your 11 questions are deleted. Including the deleted questions, your net score on questions is negative. Clearly it was really close to the threshold, since it looks like one vote removed the block. Unfortunately, the whole automatic blocking system is a black box, even to mods. As long as you don't post more questions that get downvoted and closed, you should be moving further and further away from the automatic block

@ThomasOwens Thank you. AFAIK some think about rename programmers.stackexchange to swarchitects or something.
@PeterRader The leading proposal is Software Engineering. SE staff should be responding in the near future. That, along with updating the Help Center should help someone people who don't understand the site scope.

Is this the right place to ask about A) Makefile
B) wording for a post.question about Makefile?
also "hi" -waves-
Probably not, it's most likely a question for Stack Overflow
damn it. ok. thanks
questions about how to use build tools are more SO questions
oh, yea. Makefile does count as a build tool. I was thinking of it more like a language. fair enough. Thanks again for the help.
questions like, "how to write/debug a makefile" are definitely SO. Questions along the lines of, "when using Makefiles, how should they be integrated into a build process" or more conceptual questions could fit here

Q: "Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange" in plain English

user15119Can someone explain to me what Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange is in plain English? I have read in a non-tech news page that Twitter has just implemented this technology which allows two persons to exchange encrypted messages on top of a non-secured channel. How is that (if this is true)?

> And while the discrete logarithm problem is traditionally used (the xy mod p business), the general process can be modified to use elliptic curve cryptography as well.

@DanielJour: In C#, a verbatim string literal is designated by an @ sign in front of it, as in @"This is a ""Literal String.""" Notice the repeating quotation marks? That's the only way you can escape a double-quote in a verbatim literal string and is also the only escape sequence available in such strings. String.Empty will distinguish an empty string in C# code from escaped double quotes in verbatim string literals. — Robert Harvey 9 mins ago

I don't think delegation solves.
Interfaces should be broken up into constellations that make sense?
