@gnat according to 10k tools it was World who put the migrate on that one. See: programmers.stackexchange.com/questions/219907/…

To be honest, I'd chalk that migrate up to a mistake. Can't the TW mods reject it & kick it back to us?

@GlenH7 it turned out there's no need to return, since it's a dupe. They cleaned it and let if be there...

But, this particular example happens to be closed as a duplicate, which means it links back to a canonical post that's nearing 10,000 views.

Q: What is the difference between self-types and trait inheritance in Scala?

Mark CanlasWhen Googled, many responses for this topic come up. However, I don't feel like any of them do a good job of illustrating the difference between these two features. So I'd like to try one more time, specifically... What is something that can be done with self-types and not with inheritance, and ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've read here that's basically multiple inheritance which supports the dreaded inheritance diamond in a round about way?

what does it mean: "This question may already have an answer here: Preventing copy protection circumvention 18 answers..."? — gnat 8 hours ago

I found the question they were referencing. The Prog version of the question still needs to be closed as it's too broad. I was able to clean it up a little.

@GlenH7 sigh i guuuuuuuuessss. Would it make sense to just have a mod-type run through that query at their leisure instead of us flagging every comment then?
@GlenH7 No, I've only ever ran the server locally on my machine! Done it behind some firewalls and even done a domain redirect to the server, but never had it running on the cloud

@Ampt Trust me, you don't want me to go anywhere near SEDE. Every time I do, considerable chunks of the site disappear into the night...

@YannisRizos I thought that that was the point? I was gonna make a donation to the tequila fund to get things started too...
Any reason why programmers.stackexchange.com/a/219690/93290 wasn't cleaned up when the other answers were? As it stands the joke is kind of lost without the 40+ answer

@Ampt It's Community's ♦ fault.
The deleted answers had been posted while the question was on SO. Closing it reversed the migration, and send those answers back to SO. Only the answers that were posted after the migration remain.

Ahh. I'll clean up after that damn community then. Kind of pointless without the orignal answer that I was mocking
speaking of which, since @YannisRizos is around that means its a good time to flag 16 comments right?? ;)

@Ampt Nope. It's 9pm here on a Sunday, I am about to open a cold one.

@YannisRizos Great, all you have to do is click accept really quickly

@Ampt Thanks for letting me know. I'm leaning towards using CraftBukkit at the moment. I found a tutorial that recommended a number of plugins to make administration easier. This is primarily for the kids + their friends, so I'm going to rely on the whitelisting aspects to control who is allowed on. I don't want to deal with the grief they'll give me if any griefers get on. Paranoid-me wants to lock down the firewall too for that port and only allow particular addresses & subnets.

You'll have to make a leap to get to "paid professional" status.
