Let $\Omega$ be a cycled Collatz sequence. Also we define $\Omega_{j, k} = \{x:x\in\Omega, x \equiv j $ (mod $2^k$)$\}$. Also, $m = min\ \Omega$. A python program i wrote generated the following inequalities that a cycled Collatz Sequence must follow:

@XanderHenderson would it be fair to make a community wiki answer to someone's question if I'm citing someone else's proof on math overflow (that would be the only contents)?
or does that "violate what community wiki answers are supposed to be"
@Jakobian The CW flag is meant to indicate that the answer is "owned" by the community, is a product of the community, and that anyone should feel free to add their ideas or thoughts to the question or answer. It is an indication of communal expectation.
So it is probably not the right call in the case you indicate, as you aren't asking for other people to provide input, but are reposting another answer (with appropriate citation). This would be similar to posting a proof out of Rudin (with citation). It is still your answer, even if it is based on someone else's work.
That being said, if a question has been asked-and-answered on MO, it probably doesn't need to be answered again on Math SE.
@Jakobian I don't know, as I don't know what question you are talking about. But in general, it is considered poor form to ask the same question on multiple SE sites.
