Q: ChatGPT and questions and answers with LaTeX or math symbols

Joselin JocklingsonI'm not sure whether this question is appropriate for this site. There is an algorithm called ChatGPT 4 whose implementation is really good at answering all questions (perhaps, even better than a search engine). I wonder what efforts have been made to build one that either is really good with LaT...

Since it seems that a number of users are currently targeting solution verification questions: do not treat these questions differently simply because they have the tag. The bar is neither higher nor lower for these questions. If it is a PSQ, then the fact that it has been tagged solution-verification is irrelevant.
Ditto if it is a duplicate.
If it is neither a PSQ nor a duplicate, then regard the "solution-verification" content as context (which may, or may not, be sufficient to meet the context standards of the site).

@XanderHenderson That doesn't work because there is no consensus on what PSQ means for a SV question. Some users consider the attempt as context, so they believe that problem statement + attempt + "is it correct" is on-topic. whereas others believe this is an SV PSQ because it lacks context stating what step of the proof is doubted, and why so.
@XanderHenderson I have no idea what you mean by "ditto if it is a duplicate" Please be more precise.
@BillDubuque I suggest that you use term different from PSQ to describe those posts. To me, PSQ has a very precise meaning, and that does not fit your description.

@ArcticChar SV PSQ means solution-verification problem statement question, i.e. an PSQ followed by attempt _ "check my proof" but lacking the necessary context stating what step is doubted, and why so.
20:31
SV PSQ literally just mean PSQ within the tag SV. Even another moderator assumes that this is the case (see here). If a post contains an attempt, it is almost by definition not a PSQ as defined here @BillDubuque
@ArcticChar No, a problem statement for an SV question always includes the attempt (else there is nohing to verify) so that is not context. Rather the context is what part of the proof that is questioned, and why so.

@BillDubuque I have not heard the term "SV PSQ" from anyone except you.
A PSQ is a problem statement question. Whether or not it is tagged with . Frankly, I don't think that most of the questions tagged are PSQs. Again, for most people on the site, an attempt seems to count as context.
The problem with these questions, as I see it, is that most of them are duplicates of already asked-and-answered questions, except people throw on the tag as a way of getting around dupe closure.
But, again, the tag is not overly relevant here.
Restating things slightly, it is my opinion that the vast majority of question with the solution verification tag are abusing the tag. The intent of the tag is to ask about specific questions in a proof. What most people tend to use it for is a request for homework grading. Potentially, the identical question without the tag would be acceptable, with an "attempt" as context, hence I think that the best practice is to look at the mathematics of the question.
So, perhaps, the best way to look at most questions with the tag is to pretend that the tag isn't even there, and make judgements from there.

@XanderHenderson It seems we agree on the problems with (most) SV questions, even if we disagree on terminology.
