This PSQ is another case of the new Community comments not being expressive enough. The question is quite clear in what it’s asking.
I think the problem is that the “additional details” may be conflated with showing effort/context, but the second sentence about it being “hard to tell” what is being asked is not the case with many of these PSQs. It’s not uncommon that a low-effort question is precise, focused, and comprehensible; the issue is that it’s low-effort!

@amWhy 6 upvotes and 4 reopen-votes for a question that makes no sense whatsoever. That actually makes me angry. I hope that the thing with the "abuse of $f(x)$" was a joke. And of course, for a nonsenseical question , there cannot be a meaningful answer, but many users seem to ignore this.
@Peter please close the question in link I mentioned just above
@amWhy I hope that this "blog"-post soon vanishes. In fact, the question is also bad (as pointed out). Why invent new notations for such basic functions ? The score of this post (even if it is every old) speaks volumes about how wrong this site develops.
@LalitTolani You have suggested an action. Please do not ping particular users for this purpose , the suggestion itself is enough.
08:33
@shoteyes The user apparently prepared a comment to save time when he/she wants to post an explanation. But this is of course not sufficient. It has to be verified whether such a particular post makes sense in the concrete situation - here surely not. The user must prepare more such posts and more carefully choose the proper one.
PSQ? – Is “I am doing A Level maths” sufficient context for a question? Not IMO.
08:51
@MartinR I wonder how many users here know what "A-level math" means (I do not). But even assuming one knows this , this is no really valuable context.
I think, in this case the best reason would be "too basic question", maybe this possibility should be added to the list of possible close-reasons. The general problem of such posts is that a reasonable context would basically be already the solution.
09:07
@Peter I don't think "too basic" should be a close reason - the site has always been for all levels of mathematics (the help center used to say this explicitly, although I cannot find it now).
This is a recent, massively upvoted PSQ with massively upvoted answers, but can be deleted.
09:22
@user1729 the weird thing is the “motivation” was added by the OP after being alerted by a comment. Then the OP removed it after the question became hot.
@user1729 I remember this formulation. But the problem is that basic questions rarely allow reasonable context which is always expected (also in basic questions).
@shoteyes Oh, I missed that. But even then, the deleted given context lacks context (e.g. does the stated result have a quick/easy/well-known proof?)
@Peter I don't understand your point. Do you mean that you cannot see what kind of context the question could give?
@user1729 This is exactly my problem. If you have suggestions for good workarounds, you can post them here.
@shoteyes So, the author made the question bad again after it received a good score and attention ? This is not only weird, it is rude and clearly against the spirit of this site. This action should be flagged.
@Peter Well, the context I like is when the OP tells us where the question came up. So their "motivation" is halfway there, and my suggested improvement is saying where this motivation comes from.

delete this answer. Also read the comments on that answer.

Should this gcd question be closed as a duplicate? Possible target in the comments. I am not sure if the different sign (+1 vs -1) matters.
@MartinR: I difference of $1$ and $-1$ matters when the exponent of $x$ is even. The expression $x^{2n}+1$ is irreducible but $x^{2n}-1$ is not. Apart from that case I think we can apply the same technique if degree is odd.
10:29
@ParamanandSingh I see, thanks. I’ll leave it to the experts to cast a closing vote or not.
10:49
@MartinR: I had a look again and it appears only odd degree is being discussed in that question, but I agree with your judgement to leave this for experts.
11:22
D - any hesitation could lead to a reopening, so we have to be fast.
11:38
@amWhy @ParamanandSingh One more delete-vote needed.
11:58
@MartinR Thank you.
As expected, this post could not be deleted and is now reopened :(
@Peter Are you pointing to the right question? I cannot recognize that it was ever closed (and consequently not reopened).
@MartinR Possible that I mixed something. I remember a post where $9$ delete votes were needed, wasn't it this post ?
yesterday, by Peter
@MartinR Without moderator help we won't be able to achieve the necessary $9$ (!!) delete-votes.

@user21820 What about deleting the entire thread?
@MartinR You are right, that was it. Anyway, the above post is annoying as well.

@user21820 One delete-vote needed
13:33
Instead of closing this can we migrate it to the main @Xander?
13:44
@JitendraSingh Here are some arguments against migrating from meta to main: math.meta.stackexchange.com/q/29163/42969.
15:04
C their effort is to solve a different inegral...
@ArcticChar It is also a duplicate of their own question: math.stackexchange.com/q/4243171/10513

@user21820 Open for deletion.
@Peter It's repost here is the one Arctic Char linked to. Unfortunately, my close vote there was invalidated when the original was deleted (which I didn't know would happen!).
@shoteyes Ain't hot no more!
16:32
@user1729 The post has been vandalized into an attack on you it seems
16:59
@user1729 Note how the conversation develops. Not what I would call a nice atmosphere.
@user1729 That answerer is like a loose grenade when trying to reason with him.
17:17
Ah, now I see how this script works. Brilliant, this is how I'll mostly be doing it from now on!
@TeresaLisbon What script? The grayed out terms, or for searching?
@amWhy The SE Close Vote Request Generator , which I had some trouble pushing through. Anyway, right now I'm just rummaging through the canisters filled with downvoted questions and pulling up those that should be dealt with!
It's actually really nice to use, and I find it quite informative!
When you have time perhaps you can explain it to me.
17:32
Sure, I will do so!

Any one want to take a poll? Consider closure/deletion. :/
19:59
@ParamanandSingh Closed.
Another PSQ given a full solution...
This answer math.stackexchange.com/a/4243355/42969 does not make any sense IMO. But the question is off-topic anyway.
^ Quickly deleted, thanks.
20:35
@MartinR Question now is open for deletion.
@JoséCarlosSantos Yeah... I was the second delete vote on that one.
