@user21820 I generally agree with you. But in cases where there is a poor question that I know I can dupe-hammer and close before the rep hunters land to answer, I close with a dupe hammer.

@amWhy I can understand that, and I used to duplicate-vote even poor questions a lot. I still do sometimes, but mostly try to stick to what Xander suggested in that meta answer.
Should we include a template for a comment addressing posts like these: "PSQ + I tried many time but got nowhere". "PSQ + I've worked for two hours trying to solve this but nothing seems to work", etc.
I need to prove the following: $$\int_{S^1}|x-y|^{-2}dS_y \leq c(1-|x|)^{-1}$$ where $x\in B_1(0)$ and $y \in S^1$.
I tried many things, but I just cannot get there. Can someone help me please?
Please include, in your question post, the attempts you claim to have made. Maybe you got stuck in each of the "many things" you tried, but you might have been on the right track, but got stuck. It might be due to a simple algebra error. — amWhy9 mins ago
