@XanderHenderson due to lack of mathiax in the title often... As for why keep, I would want to keep simply because it was a useful, simple question.
But it wasn't meant to be a big deal.
But I guess if it was my own question or answer I would probably be more frustrated.

@rschwieb I think it's fine to be moved to MathEd SE, but I think the underlying question about which notation is better should be answered, because it's not just about pedagogy even though it was asked that way. What do you think?

@user21820 As I said, that seems to have "opinion based" written all over it, and I don't see the value. Questions that try to "settle which notation is better" are not usually very valuable. I don't think it's worth keeping around. Especially if it encourages more such questions.
