@user170039 Why would you say that? This is the ...REOPEN, UNDELETE... chatroom. It's a voting system. I (rightly or wrongly) perceived a common interest in liking questions by mathematicians of all levels, which seem to be persecuted from time to time and I'm happy to stand up in their defense, where upvote or reopen votes are warranted.
@amWhy Agreed, I didn't think you had closed it as too simple, nor did I interpret Peter's comments as an accusation against you (I only read back so far - so I may have missed something) and I didn't intend to support any such accusation if it were made. I only intended co convey precisely what I wrote and nothing more. My request for a ping for upvotes was entirely predicated upon the assumption that there may be some hypothetical question which may have been downvoted for being too easy.

@RobertFrost Well I said that because I think that pinging a particular person asking for upvotes and reopening is not a very constructive method of communication in (at least) MSE community (mods can tell better). The same goes for downvotes and close/delete votes also. Sorry if I offended you.
