BTW it seems that this room will get to 10000 messages relatively soon. The activity here really increased since the end of July - probably mainly thanks to amWhy's suggestion to restart the room; see here and here.
Now, less than a yer later, the room info shows already more than 20000 messages.
@ProducerofBS The unrelated messages are actually also off-topic for this room. Extensive discussion about this room (as opposed to discussion about the posts on Math SE) are not on-topic here, but on-topic in the Math Meta Room.
Hello :). There's a high rep user that just deleted his answer to one of my questions, I'd like to know why did he do that. If it's because his answer is wrong then his deletion it's fine, but if there's another reason, then he should post it back.
Why to delete knowledge for MSE?
Can a moderator tell him to do that? Or what should be done here?
Let $\psi(x)=\begin{cases}0:& 0<x<1\\ 1:& 1<x<3 \end{cases}$
a) Compute the first 4 terms of its Fourier cosine series explicitly.
b) For each $x (0\le x\le 3)$, whats is the sum of this series?
a) We have that $\phi(x)=\begin{cases}0:& 0<x<1\\ \frac{2}{3}+\sum_{m=1}^{\infty}\frac{-2\sin(m\pi/...
@XanderHenderson mmh, I didn't know that.. didn't think they were too sensitive, or my culture it's too agressive
So you can see the deleted answer, can you send me a screenshot of it? I'd like to verify it and see if it's really wrong or not.
I think it's not wrong, because he is a high rep user so they know how to do mathematics. If that's the case I'll come back with with my instructor for an explanation..
