@XanderHenderson Hi, sorry for the late response. I had to leave quickly at the time (I was here when I saw your message). Thanks for the contextualization of the phrase, I did not know that. This certainly attenuates how my interpretation of the answer.
Still, I think that commenting on anything regarding an user should be discouraged (particularly if it has negative connotations). The topic of the room (as I understand) should be to discuss about the questions and answers and whether they should be closed/reopened/etc, not about the users, in any way whatsoever.
I understand that it can be frustrating that a specific user which you consider a maker of low-quality content and/or retorts keeps making them. But this room should not be used to judge users, afaik. Keeping that distinction is crucial for neutral and fair decision making.
*'(...) attenuates my interpretation of the answer.' (correcting the typo)
It seems my objection to Aloizio's comment: 'Why contaminate a valid and pertinent inquiry with irrelevant and arguably insulting commentary such as this last one?" (bold face his). (me in response)... But until you are willing to acknowledge that others know things that you don't know, just as you have experienced things I don't know, you're not in a position to pass judgment as to who or what is relevant. ... ""
@AloizioMacedo Yes, it is important. But it is best first to practice what you preach, prior demanding civility from other users. It's a two-way street.
What does it mean that "Community" closed this topic after I marked it as a duplicate?
@AloizioMacedo This is the last that I am going to say on the topic, so feel free to take the last word if you need it, but what I saw was a particular user throwing a tantrum over an answer they wrote which was poorly received. The culmination of that tantrum was an attempt to vandalize the original question (the vandalization was minor, but vandalization nevertheless). In the context of Editing posts, it is relevant to know that a particular user is causing problems.

You may not like my tone, but I stand by the content of the message. I am also willing to stand by the tone of my message, though I will defer to the community standards of this room if others feel that it was more than a touch intemperate.
@XanderHenderson I've seen that happen before, many times, and always thought it was do to some measure of similarity of the post and it's dupe. But I really don't entirely know.
@XanderHenderson Wow... I should create non-interacting accounts to keep aware of what one can do along the way, given one's rep.... Too bad there wasn't a feature, like, "for the next half hour, set me at 1900 rep." For the next half hour, set me at 11 K rep." so users can re-experience what life was like here for them, earlier!.
(Note: I am not literally saying that a question that has come up in here before has been reopened or some such; only that the content of that question is essentially the same as the content of about fifteen bajillion other questions. Basically, why are complex powers so hard. $\ddot \frown$)
@XanderHenderson "How many resurrections of that question must exist, before it's forever banned? The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind; the answer is blowin' in the wind."
